Bisping aside look at the incredible amount of talent we have.

    Rockhold, Weidman, Whittaker, Romero, Souza.

Those are 5 ATG fighters imo. Plus we also have Gastelum and Moose knocking about.

I don't think Silva would have dominated had he been in this era.

I agree with everything apart from your down playing Bisping even if he isnt quite as good as those others listed

Could be, wall to wall killers..

Any of them could grab a strap, on a good night.

Be pure hell fighting any of them. Bisping might not be the most talented but he's got grit.
Fought the who's who and took his whuppings like a man

Ok no probs not sure why you would even mentioned him then as an aside to the others but not worth arguing about. As a UFC champ Bisping as well as beating a couple of the fighters you named who are all top class middleweights of any era, he also has a better record and better resume then half of those top guys and I believe you thought he matched up well and could beat Moose.

He's not part of the thread, tbh.

More about the insane talent of the tip 5 guys.

I think they're working on a fight with Woodley, who seems hellbent on trying to fight Nate Diaz(awful fight) Yet this cringe inducing clown wonders why he's widely disliked by MMA fans.

    Deffo from MW, probably forever.

Wouldn't surprise me if they make Woodley Vs RDJ, GSP Vs Diaz and then have the winners face off.

For the last few years the division been the strongest it's ever been by leaps and bounds. Silva most likely wouldn't have ever won the title in this new, brutal era.

Most likely, he has a chronic stomach ailment that's preventing him from training.

Yeah, I read that he didn't want his colitis to "hold up" the MW division - but what is confusing to me is that he didn't retire outright. Either the condition is severe and chronic enough that it will affect him prolonging his career any further, or it can be treated in a more timely short-term manner. If the former, he should've just announced his retirement on the extremely high (and probably unbeatable) note of having returned after so long to become a champ in another division. If the latter...uh, why not just wait it out, and fight when he is healthy again? Absences of a year or more, even for champs, are COMMONPLACE in MMA, far more so than in boxing. I'm sure, without checking, that UFC titles have gone a a year or so between defenses numerous times in their history, as often as they haven't. Nobody would bat an eyelash if he captured the MW title in late 2017 and didn't make his first defense until, say, early 2019 or so. These guys are considered super active if they get in the cage multiple times annually (held to pretty much the Mayweather standard).

After the backlash Bisping received for defending against Hendo and GSP there's no way the next champ would have got away with freezing out Jacare, Romero and Whitaker.

    Nah I disagree there.

Silva is still the best striker we've ever had and one of the most dangerous fighters in his back.

He'd be the main champion of this era and I favour him over everyone individually but I doubt he'd make 10 defences in a row.
