It just occurred to me that I haven't watched a single full fight of his in 10 years. Have any of you followed the last part of his career?
After Hopkins 2. Lots of the time I didn't even know he was fighting til i saw the headline the he won lol. This is long overdue. But at his prime is he was the best
I dont recall watching any after the Maccarinelli fight but wish id stopped after the Lebedev fight. That was when he shoulda retired.
You'll watch him again when he fights Anderson Silva under the UFC banner(in boxing) as will most of us. :yep
The last time I watched him seriously expecting anything from him at the highest level was prior to the Glen Johnson fight, and he was ICED. I recall when he went into the Calzaghe fight, everyone knew he was shot to shinola then and that was in November of 2008. So he has limped on fighting for 10 years past the point of being an elite level fighter. In hindsight, when he moved back down from HW that was him finished as an elite level fighter. He should have retired after the Glen Johnson fight. Or just had one retirement win fight. I think I have seen bit of all of his fights since the Calzaghe loss, but not watched any of his fights in full since then.
