How do you rate Leonard's Ring IQ Rooster?

I think it was his trainer with the high ring IQ. it was dundee who cut Ali's gloves who then went out and ripped Cooper's eye

Kept him from Hagler until his last fight

and outlined the plan for the Hearns fight, condition Ray and keep him on the move for the first few and then testing his strength

but once Th went on the moves, didnt really know how to deal with stick & move. Angelo kept on him but Ray had trouble executing

I dont know what he wouldve done against a Norris who never seemed to slow, and had other defensive measures

He's a great commentator tho, very insghtful

the smartest I ever seen? Roy Jones, and the great benny Leonard

Not holding it against you .. pretty much predictable.

What Simon Brown, a small welterweight did to him when he reached him .. imagine a prime Ray ?

A prime Leonard may have a bit of stylistic trouble with Norris but would find a way to beat him & I think he gets the KO.

Big difference from the Leonard who fought Roberto Duran in Montreal Etc. & Tommy Hearns 1 and the fighter who fought Norris IMO

there may be a difference but he still cant handle that speed or a moving target

Tommy was a hurt moving target, who ad libbed and went to plan B. as it turned out, Hearns stumbled on to the perfect plan of beating Ray; stick and move

it's too bad Tommy wasnt adept at clinching like Terry (nor had his quick as a flash left hook)

btw, people here seem to keep forgetting, Tommy had a less than iron chin, and still went 14 (weight drained)

Terry would certainly present more problems (and did) with Ray never being able to figure him out in the time allowed. Way I see it, Ray falls behind while taking a beating which accumulates over the rounds, becomes disheartened, and checks out, settling for a points loss

before I believe, I must first see

yeah? so? was prime Ray ever great at handling moving targets? let's see them!

unless all you have is Larry Bonds

the difference between me and you is I dont fall over gushing watching Ray take out a stiff like Bonds

Watching those highlights that Mr He Grant posted I have to say I was a bit shocked with just how crystalline Terry's chin was. He is on the same level as Thomas Hearns as far as having a particularly poor ability to take a good shot to the head.

Unlike Hearns Norris was a robust looking guy with strong legs. I don't think I have seen another guy built like that with such an inability to take a shot.

The punches Waters and Brown hit Norris with with wouldnt have made blokes like Hagler or Duran even blink yet they had Terry doing the old ***** street waltz.

You're either not serious or legitimately stupid . Maybe both.

Norris was a jr. middleweight version of Wlad Klitschko .. a terrific offensive machine with a very susceptible chin .. I didn't even post the shot by Jackson that laid him out for a week but just for the Rooster ..

Hey Red, Norris would be hit by that much sugar he'd have diabetes by the end of the fight!!!

Don't pretend you don't know the old axiom, "where's there's a (prime) Sugar Ray then there's just gotta be a way!!!!!!"

well if you were serious, you would have provided more than Larry Bonds. maybe that's why you're in a bad mood

    anyone else?

    Micheal Nunn?

    Curry?

    Norris?
