Groves is the better all round fighter..... But i'd consider a win over them pretty much equal, as both are at the same level in their respective divisions imo. Better than the majority, but not good enough to mix it with the very top.
Only department lemmy beats Groves is probably power. Personally i dont think they are remotely close in regards to classes of fighters they are in. Groves is a full class above Lemmy, at the least.
Froch's win over Groves is much better than anybody's win over Lemieux.. Groves back then under Booth was a very good fighter and was way better than The Mule.
Groves has had a defense of his world title and has always been competitive even at elite level. Lemieux never defended his belt and was totally outclassed at elite level. Actually struggled a few levels below and has 2x bad losses 1 to a journeymen when he was a hot prospect. When Groves was a hot prospect he beat an Olympic gold medalist and future world champion.
Examples please Lemmy is for sure much superior at hitting air than Groves is? Other than that he doesn't do anything better than Groves IMO. Groves jab and right hand are truly elite, what attributes does David have that is that level. David has elite power maybe but it ain't worth a thing if he can't land a shot and it's only elite at 160 and Groves has elite power @ 168. Who could Lemieux beat or beat easier than Groves?
Lemieux's been beaten by guys like Alcine and an old blown up Rubio, and totally dominated at top level. Groves only losses are at elite level to Froch and Jack, in very competitive fights. His best wins are way better than Lemieux's best wins. A win over Groves is far more impressive than a win over Lemieux.
