Why couldn't Wilder fight Wlad, Vitali or Haye?

Haye, a cruiserweight, stepped up and fought Wlad in his 27th pro fight.....

Wilder fought Matthew Greer in his 27th fight, no? Me neither.....

Wilder is a puncher, no doubt about that.

His power is beyond question, but who that power has been applied against is highly questionable.

I think this debate needs to be saved for a year or 2 from now. We should know what we need to by then.

    Ali Raymi.

And he took less rounds against better opposition to do it

I don't mean to say it's all about the ref, he's just the guy making the call, I mean you sort have to focus on the ref when talking about KO vs TKO don't you?

What are you saying is the norm? I'm claiming most first KD usually comes with a count.

If I'm wrong why do youse keep shifting? I recapped with Opinion. Look at the state of the forum. Most have already gone back to level of competition without any answer for why every other boxer his history has no discernable difference when fighting cans or atgs.

Do you expect a new answer until you morons come up with one?

    His OVERALL resume is solid.

It's his title run and how long he delayed the Povetkin fight, only to flee the country at first opportunity, regardless of the cost or the so-called ped.

He could have waited a day, allowed the WBC to rule, then proceeded to fight.

Meldonium still has yet to be determined to be a PED after numerous studies.

But because, the global drug companies can't get manufacture and distribution rights, they refuse to release the payment of it's inefficiency as a PED.

Had Wilder made and beat Povetkin, he'd be considered #1 by most fans, even with both Fury and AJ having singular better Ws.

    Most. Yes.
But when you're already making a subjective opinion as to one type of stoppage being a better gauge of power, I just got to put the ref into the debate.

It's why a fighter is not announced as having 10 wins, 3 by knockout, 5 by technical knockout, and 2 by corner/fighter retirement.

He's just announced as 10 Ws, all 10 bwo KO

Et freaking tu? Then why is there no discernable difference in anyone's ratio at any point in their career whether it's against cans, half decent, or ATGs? I'd imagine if easy competition lead to more KOs than TKOs then most or at least a considerable amount of KO artist's records would reflect that but they don't. Most boxers have more TKOs than KOs because no matter who they're fighting they score a TKO. That's what has me puzzled.

Power is my suggestion, but the question is what is it that Marciano and Wilder share that seems to result in KO more often than TKOs? Everyone has fought cans, that doesn't seem to help their KO to TKO ratio in any regard, it seems like, forgive the disrespect, a lazy answer.

That's fair bud, but like I said to escudo I'm still wondering what unites Wilder with Marciano. I figured just showing y'all the KO-TKO ratios you'd see their connection straight away. Marciano and Wilder are kind of anomalies. There could be no connection at all other than the anecdote itself but until people get past what they want to talk to me about I'm going to continue to beat that drum until someone steps up to address it.

I could be wrong about power, it's just an assumption, but you guys aren't addressing the issue I'm talking about and I'm starting to get the feeling youse only read until yer panties get twisted then go right to writing a reply before ever reading my point.

I'd get taking issue with my power assumption if I didn't bother to address the same tired responses repeated without getting any response at all that pertains to the subject but rather a shift then when I address that shift someone else's panties get twisted and I have to go back yet again to a former point I've pointed out pretty much every time I've posted on this thread that no one has had the balls to even attempt to answer.

That said, don't mistake me I'm not offended by you I'm just being straight about my perspective on the matter, you've made fine points on what you wanted to talk about, but have you offered any explanation that explains why Wilder and Marciano alone have more KOs than TKOs?

Remember it was Povetkin that delayed the fight by asking the WBC to allow him fight Mickey Wach. He probably needed more time to flush the beast pellets out of his system. :cool1:

    You're severely missing the point....

A KO victory is not more impressive than a TKO victory.

Wrong again, he scheduled to fight Duhaupas instead of engaging in negotiations with Ryabinsky over the summer.
So Povetkin decided to stay busy himself.
He only fought like 30 days after Wilder.
Then Wilder sent a contract to Adamek and was looking for another fight. Ended up with Szpilka.
