Jack probably not, we'll see how it goes for him. elite means that small gp who generally dont lose to any but in that small group. froch has only lost to ward and kessler, both elite. therefore he is elite. u r not elite though at making judgements about elite.
That isn't the question you asked though is it? A victory over an opponent is only 'division relative'..... Groves is only a contender at SMW because of the transition period the division has been going through. Against Kroch/Kessler/Ward he was a non story. Just like Lemieux is with GGG/Canelo/BJS. If GGG and BJS moved up and Canelo stayed bullying welters then Lemieux would again be a contender and likely in the same position Groves currently is in the division above. That is why, to me, GG is the SMW version of Lemieux and vice versa.
Groves has more skills and is a better rounded fighter. Lemieux is always dangerous because of his power, but I don't know that he hits much harder than Groves on a pound for pound basis, if at all.
Well... I think GG is a better fighter p4p and would also obviously (imo) dominate Lem h2h. Not sure if hes accomplished more but he hasnt had the bad losses Lem has had so he takes it there as well. GG > Lem
Elite is that special kind of fighter who doesn't lose to fighters like Kessler...fighters like Calzaghe....like Ward. Froch lost to a shop worn MK and then went life and death to get the W. Froch got a gift from Dirrell don't forget.....Froch is good, he's very good but he's not elite.
