Burt Bienstock would have had a great response here as it would have been for fighters he saw live, not on film. Two he would have put down were Ike Williams and of course Sugar Ray, hopefully we will see him back here some day to answer the rest.

I think Duran is the best fighter I've ever seen. I'd have Robinson and Armstrong up there too, but another two would be mental difficult to choose. Probably be from a group comprised of guys like Jofre, Leonard, Napoles, Harada, Jones Jr, Whitaker, Louis, Ali, Pep, Ortiz etc.

R.Robinson,R.Leonard,Ali,R.Duran,E.Holyfield If I add on a imaginary 6th spot where we don't have to pick one fighter, S.Sanchez,A.Arguello,W.Gomez,P.Whitaker,B.Foster,M.Hagler,A.Nelson,W.Benitez,T.Hearns,A.Pryor,M.Tyson,J.Chandler,C.Zarate, R.Jones. E.Pederosa,J.Frazier,L.Holmes,S.Liston,G.Foreman, these fighters I've personally seen at least 10-15 of their fights, most at the time the fight actually happened. And yes I obviously omitted F.Mayweather jr. Like Camacho he was a ATG talent, but never had a signature victory over a ATG when that ATG was at or close to the top of his game.

Best fighters Ive seen fight, mainly live on TV, have probably been Sugar Ray Leonard, Julio Cesar Chavez, Evander Holyfield, Roy Jones Jr and Manny Pacquiao though it’s really hard to just single five.

    OK.

Then, (not necessarily in order) ...

Roy Jones Junior, Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, Roberto Duran, Sugar Ray Leonard.

    Prime Mike Tyson(86-88)
    Prime Jones Jr(94-99)
    Prime Pernell Whitaker(88-93)
    Prime Roberto Duran(73-79)
    Prime Muhammed Ali(Cassius Clay)

All these guys were pretty much unbeatable in their prime and p4p number 1 at some point in their career.

3 fighters who I have looked at and thought wow :

    Juan Manuel Marquez
    Roberto Duran
    Aaron Pryor

    PS

Aww inspiring performance was Margarito vs Cotto.... Sadly tainted though as it's 99% likely Antonio was loaded.

    Roy Jones Jr
    Ray Robinson
    Vasyl Lomachenko
    Guillermo Rigondeaux
    Roberto Duran

These are the five who have displayed the highest levels of boxing from my perspective. Floyd, Pac, Toney, Napoles and Leonard just missed the cut.

He's in his 90's now and was in the hospital for quite a time last year, his last posting was in December 2016. Don't know if we'll see him again, I sure liked talking with him over the years, a gentleman.

The best guys I've seen the most of and how they impressed me:
    1.Ray Robinson
    2.Henry Armstrong
    3.Roberto Duran
    4.Muhammad Ali
    5.Ray Leonard

I've seen a little footage of Willie Pep, Eder Jofre, Ezzard Charles, and Benny Leonard but not enough to be as sure as I am of the prior five. I've seen a lot of Pacquiao, Whitaker, Jones Jr, and Mayweather, but I'm not sure they are quite on the same level.
