How is GGG fighting Charlo going to add to his legacy?

Charlo has no belt, no money, no profile and is 1-0 at middleweight.

It's no surprise though. Charlo is American and therefore treated differently by the most deluded and biased fans on the planet.

    1. You can't duck a fight that hasn't been offered/negotiated/mandated.
    2. GGG is fighting a better or at the very least more proven fighter next in Canelo.

Canelo is number 1 priority, then the winner should fight BJS imo.

    Dontae is trash.

Listen it's simple, Charlo is either a mandatory or he's not.
If he's not then why would GGG fight him? He offers no money and hasn't beaten anyone of note.

Charlo needs to enforce his mando or fight someone with a pulse in meantime like Jacobs, Derevenchenko, Saunders or Murata.
Show everyone that you mean business.

It wouldn't have mattered who else he fought because we'd still be having this same conversation. The big fights that everyone really wanted to see weren't on the table. They wouldn't fight GGG.

So if GGG loses to Canelo and Canelo goes on to fight Saunders, do you think GGG should fight Charlo then in your opinion?

I’m talking about the Charlo enhancing his legacy, Sanchez said it’s all about the money.

Charlo will have interim WBC belt once he dusts of Centeno, btw it would enhance his legacy if he beat an undefeated hungry contender and former champ in Charlo so let’s not pretend like boxing fans don’t hold Charlo in high regard.

Yes, or Derevyanchenko. One of the mandatories should be next, either that or moving up to fight the WBSS 168 champ is fine.

Won't be happy if he fights some other 160 or a paper 168 champ like Truax.

GGG is all about the money now, before getting the Canelo fight he was doing his best to fight good opposition to force Canelo to fight him, now it's just about maximizing $$$.

Charlo is a very good fighter and would be a really good win.

Problem is, best, I've got him as 5th in line- Canelo, BJS, Andrade-Derevyanchenko, Jacobs, then Charlo or Murata.

If Canelo wins and fights BJS, then it makes much more sense for GGG to fight any of the remaining names I mentioned, Charlo included. If GGG beats Canelo, then I can't see Charlo jumping ahead of that pack without beating one of the men in it.

Only thing is if he loses to Canelo, Canelo will have the IBF title in which case, Derevyanchenko is no longer his mando. I agree if he does beat Canelo the next fights should either Saunders, Derevyanchenko or Charlo. I don’t want a Canelo rubber match, if he beats him as far as I’m concerned GGG is the better fighter as there is no way GGG wins a robbery so if he wins then he probably won it clear.

Good point, if GGG wins then BJS or Derevyanchenko should be next in line. Then Murata or Charlo after the two should he beat them as well.

Andrade really doesn’t deserve a shot, he is inactive and the guy has not taken on a good name since Nelson, I don’t where he got lanky useless middleweight from but that was a poor fight. At least Charlo has a trout and undefeated J rock on his resume.

Maybe Charlo should call out goldenboy, as its essentially they who are limiting Charlo's chances at a shot at GGG.

GGG, after beating Canelo, could be facing BJS in may rather than this rematch which has resulted from corruption/poor judging etc.

All the GGG fans had nothing to say when he was picking on the bums who where his mandories. Now someone who’s a threat and is his mando they don’t want to fight. You guys say Charlo didn’t earn it well guess what there’s a governin body that views it different and unfortunately for you crybaby’s Charlo will be his mando and when he is your favorite fighter is gonna duck

How can Charlo be a mandatory when he has had 1 fight at middleweight?

GGG has already said he wants to make history and unify, fans should want to see him given that opportunity.

If he beats Canelo, again, then he fights BJS.

After that if Charlo is still in the position of mandatory, albeit undeservingly, then enforce it.

If GGG does become undisputed, then i'd rather see him move up and try and do the same at SMW.

Who isn't all about the money at the end of the day? He has two big pay days left against Canelo and BJS ,what then? Has he earned the right to go back to bum city or something?

Ward wasn't going to get a free pass for taking a few gimmie fights after moving up and facing the killer of 175 twice.
Should GGG be allowed to peruse easy fights because he waited on a smaller guy to move up to him?

Joshua is all about bringing in enormous pay days but that doesn't free him of his obligation to fulfill mandatories.

After Canelo and BJS , he should be looking at either IBF or WBC mandatory but there's no guarantee he'll even win those fight so this conversation could be a big waste of time.
