I didn’t even have this fight close I don’t understand why this guy is still banging on about he didn’t lose.

The Thurman vs Porter fight was very close I had that a draw, Danny’s fight with Thurman wasn’t for me and Thurman’s excessive movement at the end is the only reason we are even having this discussion as far as am concerned.

    Thoughts?

He was schooled he said Thurman ran but from what I remember Thurman buzzed him a couple times when he they got into good exchanges.

It was a even fight Thurman just got advantage on him early on. Thing is that Garcia's hook was a little exposed after the Peterson fight. Thurman timed it so well you can tell that was their whole game plan from the get go. Garcia had nothing for it. This will always be the achilles heel to Garcia's style.

I had 8-4, Thurman out threw him and landed the more telling blows especially earlier on. Danny can’t handle movement and at 147 his punches aren’t hard enough to stop people moving.

Closer fight than most people think but Thurman edged it out.

Yeah Danny’s chin is definitely solid, he can hold a shot. The biggest problem for Danny is he takes too many soft touches, he clearly can do abit of everything but he doesn’t push myself to take himself to that next level. He should hire a new trainer, someone who brings something new and can actually offer detailed, concise advice.

On paper yes. In reality and in the eyes of most also lost to Herrera and Peterson.

Yep which is another reason why I was happy to see him lose, he has gotten a number of generous decisions. It’s so annoying that all he has to do is fight a washed up Rios and he will be given a title shot, when guys like Ugas have been putting in work at 147 and are still waiting in line.

Fair enough, for me he didn’t do enough and he was being pushed back in early rounds, thurmans silly tactics of moving at the end is what made it closer for my money.

agree, with a chin like that and not mention his mean blind power left hook he can be really good but does take too many easy fights like rod salka and now brandion rios (but understand that one since coming from loss)
