The malianagi fight was poor, the Samuel Vargas fight was awful. If I was Danny I would be looking at tryna get Canelos coach on board, for me Canelo is bigger better version of Danny but both have some similarities.
An ego fighter, he will finish his career with multiple losses anyway so it's pointless him trying to act undefeated, he also only beat Peterson on paper.
Herrera too, the guy has to get a new trainer whilst it’s his dad and they have achieved great things together I think needs someone who can offer some techinical advice.
I thought that Thurman made the fight close by taking rounds off and doing just enough to win rounds without taking any risk's which on paper made it a close fight, I do think Thurman was the one in total control and could have have made the victory far more decisive had he upped his work rate. He literally took rounds off at the end because he felt he was already so far ahead and that's the sense i had at the time despite not scoring it. I rate Garcia some what but i feel like Thurman is one of those guy's that will always have his number.
He didn't even win as many rounds as he has toes on his left foot, let alone win as many as he has on his right one.
Agreed, Garcia was extremely fortunate to get a SD loss. I think the best score was 8-4, and it could've even been 9-3 or 10-2 had Thurman decided to try to win the last two rounds instead of coasting.
You didn’t like Angel’s corner advice against Herrera? “Bend your knees! Bend your mother****ing knees!”
Danny Garcia: I only lost to Thurman on paper. Boxing World: Well, you only beat Herrera and Peterson on paper.
