I definitely expect him to fight off the back foot on this one, he has a huge range and Ortiz will murder him if he gets in the pocket. It could be a bit of a boring fight if Ortiz struggles to close the gap, may be a bit like the Malik Scott fight but Wilder is likely to be more aggressive than that - which is why we're more likely to see this fight end in a KO one way or the other eventually.

Nope, he'll just stand still, and spam the jab-right hand combination all fight long. He's definitely never done that in his previous 39 fights, definitely not....

I just have a sneaky feeling for Ortiz here. It just seems like he's being overlooked so much. And it seems that wilder is looking past him, he's constantly whining and moaning about Joshua. If Ortiz puts the work in during camp, comes in a bit lighter, and shows just a tiny bit of movement, I think he can upset wilder. He just needs to move that head constantly to stop Wilder from setting up the right hand. It's simple, let him throw the jab, move the head, then counter with a big punch. It's just a question of Ortiz's weight, and his stamina that could let him down late on in the fight. I think this goes to points despite both hitting like freight trains.

Wilder will try and box and move more than he usually does. Wilder tends to be more cautious when facing big hitters. Question is can he have success doing it. While movement clearly bothers Ortiz, Wilder relies heavily on his jab, if Ortiz from his southpaw stance can take away Wilder's jab with his lead right, he'll force wilder to reach in with the right and when that happens Ortiz will be primed to throw the left counter.

This is a tough fight to call but I think Ortiz has slowed enough now for Wilder to get the win via decision.

Wilder will be backing up the whole fight. Chris Byrd would have outboxed Wilder from what I saw of Byrd v Wlad.

    He'd better.

He's not some great back foot fighter, AND HE CAN'T allow Ortiz to get in range....

Catch and counter also out of the picture....
Only defense he's got til he finds the timing and Ortiz slows, is to hit and run.

    Bull**** and you know it.
Gil is calling Ortiz a bum simply because he is a Wilder opponent but cheered the obvious cherry picking of the 2 named bums by GGG who he is clearly a fanatic of.
I just want fairness and consistency.
