All the participants in both co-main events missed the weight limits at which their contests were scheduled.

Cintrón vs. Taylor was originally supposed to be at welterweight, and Fox vs. García was supposed to be at super lightweight.

With the former, I'm guessing they renegotiated it during camp, ahead of time. Both happening to be just a sliver beneath the 154lb limit suggests a mutual and premeditated change to super welter. The latter, however, seems like a case of both just being undisciplined and not quite making the 140lbs mark.

Tyrone Brunson, yeah - that guy went from being somewhat of a joke and obscure boxing trivia nugget as an erstwhile record-holder (of consecutively scored KO1s, until broken subsequently by an even bigger joke in the late Ali Raymi) to suddenly having a big name win on his resume. El Asesino definitely overstayed his welcome in the game (and continues to do so), and it didn't happen overnight - literally every time Kermit has fought since Canelo way back in 2011 has seen him struggle with mediocrities, drawing with a couple, getting a couple of gifts...should've lost to Granados, at least...

Brunson lucked out, was in the right place at the right time to get "cherry-picked" by a Cintrón overconfident in what abilities he still had remaining.

This will still have car-crash appeal if they end up streaming it anywhere. Mykal Fox also might be an interesting prospect to watch; this step up in class will help say for sure.

Time for guys to stop the fad diets and fight at their actual weight. Cintron is too old for 147.

8mo ago, trying for the Pennsylvania light middleweight championship.

Dude can't even hack it at state level anymore.

Marquis Taylor is green but has only ever lost to slick Mayweather product Ladarius Miller. Don't sleep on him for the "upset".

Good. Maybe him and Margarito can meet up and fight. Old geezers. Throw Shane Mosley in the mix.

Shane has back problems, I'm not sure he can even get a license anymore.

    Margarito rematch sounds good though.

Kermit Cintron says that "I would knock out Lucas Matthysse, as I did with his brother," and says that time, Walter, "was knocked down on a stretcher, so I would love for him to try to avenge what happened to him." (Boxingtalk)
