If GG knocks him out, especially after stating that his <Jnr> chin doesn't have an off button unlike his...
Like Groves said it will be a massive fall from grace. I think getting chinned no matter how close the fight is beforehand would be worse for him than getting schooled 12-0
He won't be embarressed , he'll claim it was an illigal pushdown , with a dodgy count ,, by a biassed ref , spurred on by all the haters , who hate because he's brilliant
There's nothing to be embarrassed about tbh. The reality is if anyone in boxing gave up a stone in weight...they,d pretty much all be facing an uphill struggle. Especially how hard groves hits as well. If eubank wasn't eubank...it would probably be promoted as daring to be great. I know hes shouted about his chin etc...but what boxer hasn't made bold claims in the lead up to a fight. No shame in it for me. People have been on at him to take tough fights...claiming he's avoiding them...it doesn't,t get much harder than groves the weight above. Now people claim he,ll be embarrassd if he gets knocked out. For me he deserves credit for moving up in weight and having a go regardless of the outcome.
Yep, absolutely right. This fight is ****ing fascinating. There are people confident in just about every outcome happening. Time to lump on the draw
think more do how arrogant and cocky cej comes across no shame losing groves as he is a top fighter but opinion's so divided this fight many think groves past best etc tbh really looking forward to the fight hopefully similar to usyk breidis fight
Absolutely. I think because it's Eubank people are glossing over just how big of a task he's taken on here. I was one of the many before the tournament who didn't think Jr would fight Groves if they were matched up. Even if Jr was a natural super middle he'd still have everything to prove. Groves used the word 'pedigree', which Sr took umbrage with. But it's true - Groves is a proven world level operator; Jr isn't.
True enough, some places might still give odds on it mind you. I think the way it works is there is a 4th judge also scoring who will then give their scores. If that still results in a draw then they give it to who won the 12th on the most cards. If that's even then the 11th, then the 10th etc
If the 3 judges score it a draw, the fight is officially a draw and that's what goes on both fighters' records. Although I can imagine the WBSS rules that then decide the 'winner' who goes through to the final will cause some confusion at the bookies.
There is no shame in being KO'd By GG. He is a powerful SMW, he had Froch all over the shot for about 20 mins in the first fight. I have never seen Froch like that against anyone. No shame at all GG is capable of knocking out anyone in the SMW division if he catches him clean and early in the fight
