... contacted about making GGG-Saunders if GGG beats Canelo Thoughts? Is GGG going to beat Canelo? Would Saunders be a decent match for GGG? Would GGG or Canelo, whoever wins their 2nd bout, gain anything by fighting Saunders?
Yes they gain something if they win, GGG gets his last belt. (If he wins against saunders, which I don't think he will) I have GGG beating Canelo the second time round. If canelo plays it more aggressive than the first time around, he will likely be knocked down, and maybe survive to lose on points. Saunders has better stamina than Canelo, and better evasiveness than Canelo. Saunders is what Canelo dreamt of being. Saunders is perfect for the GGG matchup. Lemieux couldn't land a finger on him, and GGG is similar to Lemieux, just has more attributes. The style of fighting is very similar. Saunders won't dominate the fight, but he will do better than Canelo and Jacobs will at the very least. If there is anyone who can beat GGG, it is Saunders via a close points decision. Otherwise, I see GGG finishing his career unbeaten.
The comparison to Lemieux is way off. GGG is a master at cutting the ring, has superb balance & guides his opponents where he wants them to be...Whereas Lemieux is just a come forward merchant ,crash bang wallop & see where he ends up. No idea where he will end up , just throws leather with incredible force & hopes he hits a target. I agree that BJS has a good chance to with GGG.
Golovkin is his pay day or Canelo if he wins against GGG. I don't think he will price himself out tbf. I think he wants the big fights now, he didn't before.
Yeah, he didn't fancy it did he with that figure...I think now though, GGG has lost a step and movement will be his Achilles now
Saunders is prime now and brimming with confidence, GGG is on the downhill slope and looking a bit tired. A few fights ago I would've liked to see it, now I think he runs rings round GGG for the UD
No they don’t win the rematch and G will need some time to reflect when him and his team begin to understand that he was not as great as they were made out to be hence he will not fight a top fighter for his return match. The guy has never fought for legacy so why start now. They underestimated Canelo and they only wanted him because they thought he would be an easy mark for their best payday. You can tell G wants to ride off in the sunset as well but this Canelo has really put him in a predicament. G isn’t fighting Saunders because that will most likely be an L. Btw it’s funny that so long ago, I believe MVC was one of the first staying that BJS would beat G years ago and of course you fanboys called him a troll. Now look at a lot of you today jumping off the G bandwagon as it falters and you’re now trying to sit here and be on team BJS lmao If I were a boxer I would never want fair weather dick/trend riding fans like the majority of posters on this board. You guys are also broke and cheap and don’t pay money to see the guys you morally support. Manny Pacquiao was always B side to Floyd. G needs no explanation. Dude can’t put up Gatti ppv numbers but he’s pushed as some star. Please. G fights for money but these idiots started to believe the bs that was pushed for them and it’s bit them in the ass. They shouldn’t of let GBP dictate their actions in not allowing them to fight BJS in the first place but this is what happens when you’re small potatoes and you’re a greedy little squirrel trying to get a nut and someone has the biggest nut you’d ever get in your fabricated career. Now they want to sit here and act like big boys when theyre in the most vulnerable position of their career. The aura of invincibility has been out for awhile. Every step up in competition has peeled off layer after layer exposing this dude. Resume is weak. G will be avoiding top fighters like he always has. He will fight a bum after Canelo. Maybe a couple bums and then make a last push to cash out. That’s Loeffler’s only plan. This BJS **** is smoke and a waste of time.
He's already proved to be the most dominant force at 160 of his time, hes a legit atg at the weight. The vultures are now circling as he winds down his great career, as an amateur and now professional..Make the most of his last few fights, as this pure breed will be gone very soon !
Saunders really impressed me in his last match. He's very swift and hard to hit, the type an older champion should avoided due to age, or simply not looking good against. I'd pick GGG now. A year from now, maybe Saunders.
