It's a blustery and damn right miserable afternoon here in London and as I scoff down my pear and blackberry yogurt, I decided I wanted to invoke a stir. So out of all the current fighters, which 3 - in your putrid eyes - boast the best resumes?
1- Manny Pacquiao 2- Román González 3- Hard to say... Nonito Donaire, GGG, If it does not matter if he won or lost: Zab Judah :-D
Jones just retired last week though. Bradley retired thankfully. He was in Australia for the Pac-Horn fight and he thought he was in Argentina!! MOMMA MIA
I was tempted to list Jones - but he's tentatively and finally hung the gloves up and says he's done barring a superfight with Anderson Silva.
Well you didn't say that you were talking about Mikey. I thought you were talking about Danny Garcia who is also supposed to be have a "good resume" on paper.
1. Pacquiao 2. Canelo 3. Danny Garcia Looking at the list, I'm not impressed by 2 and 3 at all. I can give Canelo some credit for fighting Floyd, Lara, Cotto, and GGG, which makes 2-1-1, where both a win against Lara and draw against GGG were arguable. So, in my opinion, the whole "resume" discussion is a bit overrated.
I got Pac, Bradley, Alvarez, an Paddy's OP is aggravating Pac Bradley Garcia But soooooo many are right there. Alvarez Peterson Lara Thurman GGG GG Kovalev Porter Etc etc etc But.....if robbery's and losses don't count, then the clear as glass best resume belongs to........ Darnell Boone
He's overachieved considering he's a small MW who boiled off 30+lbs to complete and actually excel at LWW and WW. A 170lb ball of muscle that could not bust a paper bag but won giant fights and fought the best at 140/147. If he had power, his brain would be a lot better off.
Small middleweight? He's 5'6". How many 5'6" middleweights do you know (barring Khurtsidze)? He could have been a lightweight if he'd just put the weights down and jogged a little more. That thirty pounds of muscle did nothing for him, since he still didn't have any power.
