I was listening to good Saytricon(Dark Medieval Times to be exact) yesterday. Honestly they've been pretty woeful post Nemesis Divina(their magnum opus) But the same could be said about most of the 90s Norwegian BM bands who carried on.. a few of the Post-prison Burzum, Enslaved and Ihsahn has been going strong with his solo project since the demise of Emperor.

The vocals in Manilla Road grow on you - Mark Shelton may have an annoying nasally tone at first but after a while they really grow on you and they really do compliment the epic high fantasy/sword & sorcery lyrics and overall feel that the band are going for. Crystal logic, Open the gates and The Deluge are classic albums and worthy of a full listen in any case.

Can someone explain why everyone is on CEJ? I'm not saying Groves will win but this fight is 50/50 and I'm surprised everyone is on Eubank Jr. I know Groves has been stopped but he is the natural SMW and I think he is more skilled than Eubank Jr. I think Groves will win (and I know that doesn't mean others do) but I'm just shocked everyone is rolling with CEJ.

I really want to go Groves too. But it's hard to shake the feeling of Eubank Jr. getting to him late out of my head. Groves fades, gets lazy on the inside he loses this... Needs to use movement, establish the jab and look to set up the right hand that nearly got Froch out of there. He can win but he'll need to produce something close to his best, not sure he has that anymore. We'll see this weekend!

It is possible that CEJ outworks Groves but I think people are counting on Groves to fade as the whole reason for picking Eubank. If that doesn't happen, I don't see CEJ winning. CEJ is far less experienced than Groves and I do believe he has less boxing skills / boxing IQ than Groves. If Groves fights smart, he should win easily. I think with Froch he abandoned his boxing because he seemed to have some hatred for Froch and wanted to knock him out; he came close in the first fight but the KD lead ultimately to his downfall (and I don't think CEJ has Froch's one punch KO power). Now hopefully Groves learned from his lesson because I do believe he is a level above CEJ.

We shall see Saturday, my money is on Groves though.

Same here. Eubank is not a natural Super Middleweight, people seem to miss all of his glaring flaws, he leaves himself way too open to counters, he's not nearly as active as most people seem to think, he's actually quite conservative, and risk adverse. He ambushes lands like 30 punches, and then goes on the backfoot and prowls the ring pretending like his a lion hunting his prey, rinse and repeatx12, and like I've said countless times, who has Eubank beaten that's as skilled as George Groves? No one.

His one loss is to a poorly conditioned half assed version of what Saunders is now, and even that version of Billy Joe beat him with relative ease. The one time he's shared the ring against a skilled fighter he lost. Oh boy, he beat Dmitry Chudinov, Nick Blackwell, Gary O'Sullivan and Renold Quinlan...... so? Mock just beat Chudinov, quite frankly Atejovic had his moments, Dmitry is fairly featherfisted, and he had to foul him incessantly to get the win, the performance from Jr. was deplorable. Spike rocked him a few times, and had a freak injury, Quinlon is a bum that lucked out against a shot to absolute crap Geale. Then we come to AA, good for him, he beat a shell of Abraham, so did Stieglitz, Paul Smith, De Carolis and Murray came close, and Ramirez shut him out a year before. Yildirim was an unproven commodity, with a glass jaw. And guess what, not a one of them brought anything representing a genuine skillset into the equation. All of them played into Eubank's counter punching wheelhouse. Groves does not, at all. Groves will dominant Eubank if he doesn't gas, and because I think Groves' power will give him second thoughts about just leaping in with a flurry, he'll be apprehensive enough to not push the pace the way people think he will. You flurry like a Wildman on Groves, you'll get countered and KO'd, you fight tentatively and timid, looking for the counter, Groves takes his time and UD's you.

Groves has lost to Frochx2 and Jack, both of whom would utterly demolish Eubank Jr. that is the reality, no ifs ands or buts about it. Anyone who would pick Eubank over Jack and Froch, need their heads examined.

I'm with you on all of that. I guess people feel like Groves is shot, I keep hearing that if it was the Groves from Froch I, he beats Eubank easy. But Groves is more battle-tested / experienced now and, if anything, has improved his skills since that fight. Maybe his chin isn't good but is Eubank really a huge puncher, especially at SMW? I don't think so.

I think the fight goes the distance with Groves winning a clear decision.
