    My personal story:
I always liked boxing. As a young kid we would watch fights at my best friend's house because his dad was a huge boxing fan. I didnt start following the sport closely until 2014. Pre-2014 I was definitely "casual" fan. GGG played a big part in that as I got excited for his career. I started following certain websites and learned about the other fighters and divisions. The Ward Kov I decision left a sour taste in my mouth. Ward Kov II left an even more sour taste. GGG Canelo killed it for me. That, and all the other hometown robberies weve been subjected to. The ducking, the divas, the multiple belts, the multiple promotions, its just too much. If theres a good fight I will watch for sure, thanks to my DVR. I'll be tuning in to Groves Eubank.

I will watch Spence, Loma, AJ, Wilder, etc. The top names. Slowly I'll be turning casual again as I like boxing too much to write it off but dont see myself as a hardcore fan no more. Its too hard with all the fkery

Will you be watching GGG-Canelo 2... knowing full well Canelo will have been roiding his head off since the first fight as GGG is constantly tested and ageing?

when i first started watching boxing in the 1970s we had live british boxing title fights and prospects on grandstand bbc 1 on saturday afternoons usually about 2 pm which would have got about a 6 to 10 million audience

we had delayed usa fights world title fights from the previous weekend on itv world of sport about 1 pm on saturdays

we had big european title fights/commonwealth fights/uk title fights on weds nights on sportsnight / millions watching.

in the early 80s with british boxing revival itv got more involved and started showing boxing late at night with all the british prospects coming through.

to watch a big american fight live you had to go to a cinema / there were only a few from memory in the london east end that showed them

gants hill and green street were the ones i went to but i am guessing there were more that i am not aware off.

the viewing numbers were huge by todays standards espeically as the early 80s went on and british boxing had kaylor/sibson/minter/hope/magri/bruno/mcguigan/ etc etc 1 out of every 5 people were watching boxing in the uk some big fights this was 1 in 2

but of course there was only 3 tv channels total .

now my tv has netflix built in/ ratuken /you tube/iplayer/ the internet / you tube/ freeview/ sky /dvd and blu ray players connected.

never even began to count how much content is available but it is absolutley vast i will long be dead before i even watch a 50th of the channels and content available

so with boxing charging $30 a fight in the uk / big american fights taking place at 4am on sunday mornings and the WWW allowing you to watch them for free at 9am on sunday morning / is it any wonder boxing by chosing to go for ppv money over exposure is dying to casual fans with only out and out hardcore fans left.

How do you know that Canelo isn’t getting tests?
