Why still in 2018 there are certain stupid people that refer to late 80s and 90s foreman "old foreman" like if he was the same fighter.so george was during 10 years 1987 and 1997 the same man ... He was older, less dinamic and less aggressive but according to 4 ******ed guys he was the same .. If you make a fantasy match between 1990 foreman vs anyone they can use his fights with moorer, axel, morrison etc against. 80s and 90s foreman was the same always. "Old.foreman". It is like saying that 77 ali was like 71 Ali
When Old Foreman came back....he had to have started at over 300 lbs. I saw him preaching on a street corner in Houston....and he was a "pretty big ol' Guy".
Good question, Foreman was 40, when he made Bert Cooper quit after 2, and 41, when he destroyed Cooney. It's safe to say that he was better than nearly 50 y.o. Big George who got robbed vs Shannon Briggs. Most likely that neither Grimsley, nor Saverese or Briggs would've lasted 12 rounds vs 89-91 Foreman. I think that Foreman from Cooney and Holyfield fights stops all 3.
Because he was worse than 70s Foreman and noticeably past prime to the point that there wasn't much variance in his performance from 87-93/94. Towards the end of his comeback he was noticeably past prime more so than at the beginning but the version that fought Moorer was just pretty much as good as the one from 90-91.
Well the people know how to separate between pre ali foreman and post ali... It is not very hard to know the 90 foreman was fresher and better than his 94 version onwards
Not even close. His body looked solid like a rock vs cooney and evander,he was ponderous but solid and more dinamic in 94 onwards he looked soft flabby and very very ponderous just throwing a predictable 1-2 .no upper,no hook. Between 89 and 91 was his peak of his second career, at that time. foreman was younger and better
Youre right. That being said he looked surprisingly quick and energetic against savarese and Briggs(for his standards) Old foreman had much more heart and fighting spirit in the 90s than he did in the 70s where he was an outwardly arrogant but confused on the inside man-child. He bounced back from losses much better(in terms of motivation) than most fighters.

Btw Foreman of the Moorer fight weighed less than he ever did from 90-91. I'll give you that yes Foreman of the Moorer fight wasn't as sharp looking as the Foreman of the Holyfield fight.
Fun little fact: Big George was actually planning another comeback at 55 years old, then 65 years old(i think) but his wife didnt let him. could you imagine?
Old Foreman is just an expression to differentiate him from the 70's version. At least as I use it. He wasn't literally old as he would be today, a senior citizen.
