Do you see Tommy laying out Pacquiao at Welter ,in a Cuevas type stoppage.? Or is Manny a little to good here and Hearns becoming another PAC Man victim?. Bring in the Pacquiao that defeated Cotto and how's it go ?
Sometimes in boxing a freak of nature comes along, a 6ft 1in welterweight that puts people to sleep is such a force, and will take Mannys head off somewhere around 4 rounds.
Pac has the speed and power to trouble/take out Hearns, it's just very unlikely that it plays out this way.
And Pac's use of awkward angles could enable him to find a way to get to Hearns. But more than likely, I think that strange awkwardness would have Pac walking himself into a thunderous right hidden behind a jab. And even with his awkward use of angles, Tommy had the type of jab where he could outbox Pac and force him into a survival shell of sorts.
This is Tommy Hearns at 147 we are talking about, probably the most devastating 147 pounder ever, head to head. I like and respect Manny, but he gets obliterated here.
Bad styles matchup for Manny. Hearns' physical advantages are huge and I cannot see Manny outboxing him. More than likely he gets stopped by one of the hardest punchers of all time in Tommy.
Tommy hearns would knock him out, but manny moved his head alot so it would take time before Hearns could time his headmovement, he would have to avoid getting stopped in the meantime. Hearns would be favorite but it wouldnt be easy and hearns would be in danger himself early
Pacman drops him like a tree. One step back , two step forward under the left with the jab x left hand lead 1-2. Good night nurse
