Can't count on Groves, but have not gotten to see him fight because USTV boycotts his fights. Eubank had Golovkin to come all the way across the ocean to fight him then refused to sign the contract after promising he would fight, instead he ran like hell! Saunders beat him!
If Groves is to win he has to be able to hurt CEJ and find a way to keep him at range and fighting in spurts like Groves likes to do. Groves looks good if he can get off first and dictate pace. But when forced back or to box defensively it exposes his defensive deficiencies. His offense is his defence, he doesn't know how to box and move and just rely on his speed and counters, he stays in range too much looking to do his bad Haye impression of slip and counter but he can't deal with pressure like Haye can. Haye uses a fighters aggression against them, Groves is subdued by an opponents aggression. I think CEJ may have some trouble early with Groves but he will grind him down and stop him.
I don't rate either of them really highly but I think the result is more dependent on cej. I'm not convinced that he has the power against big smws to dictate fights. I'm also not sure about how he'll cope when he doesn't get everything going his way. He has never really had anyone good enough to do that to him, and I feel that when it does he'll fold
I don't see McGuigan improving him... Looked all over the place at times last night, struggled with the pressure a euro level LMW put on him! Not a good sign.
Now now cst...I seem to remember you predicting Eubank would be left face down and limp on the canvass? Hmmmmm?
