Groves Eubank post fight thoughts

Billy Joe will tire again against eubank. Regardless if ingles training him or not. Look at billy Joe on the scales against eubank....he was properly drained just like eubank was for it. He was also sharp that night. But if the official lines hes not trained for the biggest fight of his career properly then fair enough.

But heres why he,ll tire again. With how much their cutting in weight that stamina improvement ingles helping him with will be minimul. They just cant take stamina and make it terrific....when their needing to cut the amount of weight they need to to get billy Joe down to middle. Without the use of PEDs anyway. Never seen the lemuiex performance...but did see the Monroe performance. Billy Joe wasn,t any better than usual. He's not became ten times better overnight. Eubank will get to him again. Weather its enough to win the fight is anyones guess. Billy joes a very good fighter afterall. People getting tricked by eubank,s attributes not able to have any effect on groves. A guy that was 13 stone 2 in the ring with the physique for it. His attributes will have an effect on guys at say 12 stone 6 without the physique to match. That 8 lbs is massive in boxing.

 

So basically he's going to have to rely on his opponents having poor stamina and poor punching power so he can walk through their punches and tire them out. I can't see him having a lot of success at the higher levels with that strategy tbh.

 

You keep harping on about the weight but it was plain to see Eubank hasnt improved at all since the BJS fight. All his huge flaws are still there and will get exposed again should they meet

 

Bud, you’ve gotta watch the Lemieux fight. I’m amazed it passed you by. It’s a boxing exhibition. As a boxing fan it’s a must-see. It was an absolute schooling in every department. In terms of gas tank, Saunders looked like he could do another 12 rounds. His fitness was exceptional. You will see that he is on another planet.

 

Froch was an amateur world championships bronze medalist...he had fundamentals...he knew how to close the ring off and set up his attacks...

Eubank doesn’t...

Groves looked shyte
And Eubank looked even shutter and was exposed badly by a shyte groves
Groves is done he looks old and fights like he cant take a shot
Almost like he will not engage in a fire fight
He's no more than a few fights away from been shot imo
Eubank the less said the better

Correct Jnr has not improved at all since the Saunders fight, it was the fact he stepped back down to domestic level opposition made it look like he had.

 

The reason why Groves didn`t attack is because he knew he had the fight won he was landing more on the outside and Chris more or less done a "no mas" and wasn`t fighting he was doing what his dad used to do just waiting to counter it`s very hard to lead against someone who won`t fight and it wasn`t needed, why take the risk, it wa like the Floyd v Pac fight, Pac would not attack because he was scared of the right hand and so was Eubank, he got decked by a jab for God`s sake, he was awful, I think fans should be refunded!

 

Who the hell spoke of a rematch?! Groves shouldn`t bother with that at all! Bigger fish to fry.

 

He looked crap in sparring, Groves even said he could see no gameplan in Eubank`s sparring and his partners were awful!

 

The reason why Groves didn`t land more is because Eubank would go massive spaces without fighting just waiting to counter, why would you attack when your winning the fight on the outside "chris did a "no mas" like Pac vs Floyd, if he attacked like he normally does he would have ate tons of right hands and got stopped pretty quick, he was dropped by a jab for Gods sake!

 

I'm shocked at the backlash. Maybe he disappointed, maybe it was over hype. But there has been a lot of bull**** said since the final bell. Retire?! That's just stupid. Sad to see so many in the game stick the boot in completely. You expect it from the online crowd but I think it's been poor from those who should know better.
