Ricky Burns. Never ducked anybody and most definitely lives by the code. Fighting Beltran with a broken jaw, his toe to toe war with Figueroa in America are good examples.

I'd put James Degale and John Ryder in there too.

I believe the majority of British boxers.

We British travel all over the world winning and defending titles, we take huge support and we normally go out on our shields, give everything but of course there are exceptions.

Andre Ward never travelled, Mayweather never travelled and many many others who are very highly regarded across the pond.

But our fighters do, even our best world champions travel, we underestimate ourselves and we underestimate our courage, bravery and true WARRIOR SPIRIT.

Let me clear my throat *Cough*

    God save our gracious Queen
    Long live our noble Queen
    God save the Queen
    Send her victorious
    Happy and glorious
    Long to reign over us
    God save the Queen

    O Lord our God arise
    Scatter her enemies
    And make them fall
    Confound their politics
    Frustrate their knavish tricks
On Thee our hopes we fix
    God save us all

Anthony Crolla has to be in there, exhibits many code related qualities. Stays in fights with honor even when he is clearly loosing and also tackles armed criminals in his spare time.

The warrior is strong, yet his sleep is fragile. His wisdom, an amalgamation of precedent, yet his decisions cannot be based on the frailties of man. He is rather fueled by divine inspiration ascending from the heart. He knows not anger and only fears the unknown.

The warrior does not judge, for his true assignment is to deliver evidence of superior behavior to the creator of all men.

The warrior does not dream of frontiers. He only sees horizons.

The warrior is a creature of irony, for his genuine task is to ensure peace.

The true warrior knows, accepts, and embraces above all, integrity, which is his course of life; reason, and the application of reason, which is his only weapon; and forgiveness, the one true cleansing virtue.

And only when one can fully absorb these most divine of all virtues can one at last see how impossible and futile it is to make war.

Khan has gotten up and tried to fight on every single team he's physically been able to. That's a Warrior.

Benn has had everything his own way and is fighting part time fighters - he is not yet befitting of the Code.

    Jamie Conlan deserves a mention.

Surely to be worthy of the warrior code *said in eubank sr voice" you must be able to take a hit? I've never seen a warrior have spaghetti legs like I've seen from khan...

Nah, a Warrior tries to battle on against adversity regardless of the china that nature gave them. That's my interpretation of The Code at least

I think you can stick burns in there too. He wold get in the ring with anyone, the broken jaw fight, flying over to the states to fight Figueroa Jr despite him coming in over the weight, Burns went two to two with him.

He might not be the most skilled is Burns but got to where he was on tremendous dedication and balls

That's poor sportsmanship and being a POS. Has nothing to do with heart displayed in the ring, which Chisora has shown plenty of.

    Precisely.

I was going to say the exact same thing, that if we were to include outside of the ring antics, then many would fail to possess the warrior code.

David Haye isn't an angel himself outside of the ring, neither is Amir Khan which are just some of the questionable names thrown in this thread.

David Haye blamed his toe on defeat and ran all night to survive instead of going out on his shield against Wlad. Not to mention when the going got tough against Carl Thomspon he failed to find a second wind to battle on.

I agree with most of the names bar Conor Benn who has done F all to gain that badge as yet. Say what you want about Khan but the kid is a warrior.

Chisora is a part time warrior. Showed a few times that he’s a real handful and keeps going. Has also showed how much the money means to him to the point where you could be forgiven for thinking he throws the odd fight with some performances
