You've ran from the last two debates. Am I right in saying you'll run from this one because I'm quite open to having my mind changed.

I disagree. Bonavena was utterly one dimensional. Marciano would beat on him for the entire fight and probably stop him. Quarry poses a better fight than Bonavena and was tough but Marciano would pin him down.

Easy question for mine. A good left hook is a better punch than a good overhand right against most opponents.

The hook is thrown with the lead hand for starters so it travels a shorter distance and a left hook is a MUCH better weapon to attack the body than an overhand right. Ray Robinson, Duran, Mike Tyson and Roy Jones are the only guys I have seen who had really good right hands to the body and all four were physical freaks.

    Frazier's hook gets the nod.

You keep saying that "i run" but the truth is more simple than it. When i reply you with "lol" or "lmao" is because you said a pure nonsense and i will not spend my time debating it

It's not pure nonsense. It's an opinion that I have reasoning and evidence to defend it. If you actually had the ability to change my mind, which is always open to being changed, then you would do it. Seeing as you don't that's why you haven't.

Bonavena was bigger, faster and stronger than marciano and you know what? Charley golman trainer of marciano worked with bonavena and he said that oscar did hit harder than rocky and was stronger

Bonavena was NOT faster than Marciano you should probably take a look at the footage now. There's no way in hell. Bonavena was even slower than Liston. He was bigger and maybe stronger but he was also 10x as ineffective with his size and strength so that doesn't matter at all.

I couldn't care less who hit harder. Marciano had top shelf power just like other hard hitters in the history of the heavyweight division. You're arguing inches here. It's like arguing about Shavers hitting harder than Foreman. At the end of the day it doesn't matter at all because if they land on the opponents chin it's over.

Marciano's opponent is faster than Bonavena's and he still looks faster than Bonavena.

No, I'm afraid you're the one that must be joking. It would be better if you took a look at the fights instead of regurgitating the common dogma that is spouted on boxingforum24.

I would add Erik Morales but yeah i agree with this. But Frazier had virtually no right hand while marcianos left was pretty mean too!

I voted for marcianos right because if landed or he missed with the right, either way he could come back with the hook right away while frazier had to kind of reset or "roll back into position" and come with another hook because he had no real right hand.
Even if he did.... a tyson-type hook->right hand leaves you squared up while a
Conventional, classic right hand->hook puts you back into position with your left shoulder forward and your feet in position

It is to me sad that every conversation regarding Marciano comes down to size, but the history if size along with the science be it anatomy, kinesiology, or even simple physics, is assumed in most of these conversations.

I don't want to make enemies on all sides here but the honest truth is even when I agree with someone's point I can't say I agree with how they got there.

You can't simply say X is good and big so X wins. You can't even say X is good and big and good at fighting big so X wins. Look at Fury, or Wilder. Just purely from a styles standpoint that take center stage and pose while leaning forward works into Marciano's game. Marciano's game accounts for him being the smaller man and the larger man using basic big man tactics. Basic not because it's simple or easy but because it's what's used most often. What I said about Wilder taking center ring and leaning in is true about Foreman and Vitali too isn't it? That's what I mean by basic, been used since Primo at least. Staple. Anyway my point isn't that Rocky has an answer for size but rather an answer for specific issues size differences cause and if the big man has no other gear how can one say the big man wins blindly because of size?

Because of history? Science? I'd challenge any to prove it. I like to think I'm pretty damn well up on the past three hundred years, and the science behind the physics of the human body is literally my job so I know I'm good there. It's an assumed advantage, nothing more.

I'm not saying it's fair to say Rocky wins by negating size either, but let's get past size long enough to make a logical argument for how each would actually go about using the size difference to their advantage because without it you've just as much argument for a big man being stretched out and KO'd as you do the big fella keeping him back.

As far as the power comment goes, are you ****ing ******ed? 925 ft-lbs to the dome means death. Rocky carried death, no hyperbole, no exaggeration, no fan bull****, straight up army measured death. Being 6'6" 285lbs doesn't save you from 925 on a knuckle anymore than it does 383 on a bullet. 383 would be your standard police issue sidearm, Marciano makes it look a *****. If you're going to say size, again even to claim it nerfs power, it has to come with a technical explanation. Not just gee guy X was really good doe and a whole lot bigger den him doe. How he particularly moved is particularly important.

Line fighters, big men who can't pivot, no chance in hell. Posture fighters, men who take up dangerous position to offer dangerous posture, no way in hell.

Honestly how Ike took it to Tua is how a big man beats Marciano. Take advantage of being naturally better at Rocco's best gifts. Push him around, get small and tight, stay on him, and hit that mother ****er with a brick every chance you get. Not all of them can do that, not all of them get a blind easy pass just because Marciano is a LHW today. He had a skill set, and science nor history support the idea of blind sizeism.
