Keith Thurman Could Be 5-6 Fights From Fighting Spence; So Maybe 2020/2021? LOL!

Thurman wants to go on a Bum Tour in 2018. Now the WBC has come out and said that he has to fight Garcia AND Porter. So he's locked up for four fights. After Garcia and Porter, I see Keith saying that he needs a break after two tough fights, heal an injury, and/or a tune up or two before Spence.

 

Thurmans upcoming "fight" will be his 5th in 3 years... Not that promising.

 

He’s got that whiplash to recover from too. Dog, that takes time, even with Blue Cross Blue Shield!

 

You should reread that article he gets one tune up this year then he has to fight Porter and Garcia he doesn’t get to go on a bum city tour

You're literally making **** up. Stop. No one has an issue with a tune up fight for Thurman
after an injury and surgery. I do think it's ridiculous that the WBC is making him fight back
to back mandatories against guys he already beat but how is that Thurman's fault? Personally,
Thurman should fight his tune up then drop the WBC.

 

Thurman is probably going to go the Manny Pacquiao route. Just like Pac didn't want to lose to Terence Crawford, but lost to Jeff Horn. I see Thurman losing his 0 to Shawn Porter or Danny Garcia, just because he doesn't want to give Errol Spence the satisfaction of beating him. Then the fans will get subjected to Thurman fighting a 3rd rubber match with Porter or Garcia just like Pac-Bradley 3, which no one wanted to see. No disrespect to Pac, one of my favorite fighters,but that's how I see it.

 

With the difference being that Pac had already long established himself as an all time great before ducking Crawford.

Thurman has established himself as jack **** in history.

 

Fighting Garcia is completely unnecessary imo. Make Thurman fight Porter or the winner of a Porter vs Garcia fight, not both of them.

 

Danny Garcia catches a lot of flack, but at least he faced his biggest doubter at 140 within a reasonable timeframe.

This fight is not going to be the PPV deal Thurman seems to need it to be in order for him to face his lad. Like Garcia-Matthysse 5 years ago, this is nothing more than a TV fight which demands to be made to determine who is the best fighter in a division. It is not a battle of stars, nor is it likely to ever be so. But the fight can make (or help to make) a star of one of them. Thurman needs to put that 0 he claimed not to care about on the line for the biggest challenge of his career thus far. If he does that and wins, he's on his way.

Have your tune-up, then quit making excuses and get in the ring.
