Well if Hurley is teaching a modified form of the St. Paul style for 50 years after Gibbons retired thats a pretty powerful statement as to Gibbons influence, particularly in light of how important a figure Hurley was in boxing. Im sure that film is out there.
Yeah in fact if you compare Matthews-Murphy to Gibbons-Bloomfield you can see Matthews using a lot of the same moves Tommy uses. Drawing punches, leaning way back and stepping around to counter from angles, economy of movement. Its pretty interesting.
That's why I do it that way. Obviously The Jew went by The Jew to be antagonistic. He was being everything they said a jew was. Coward? Invented defense. Greedy? Charged their asses just to watch. Clever? Prophesied to increase his pocket size. The dude just trolled the ever living **** out of all of England and only did it because they were hateful. Jack Johnson will always hold a special place in my heart. His quote, " They called me black, They never let me forget it. I am black. I will never let them forget it. " ****in' chills. That, in essence, is why I opt for The Jew as much as possible. Jew it all up real ****in' Jewy that way you either didn't read anything I wrote or you damn sure know Mendoza was a Jew. It's more important to me because I believe it was more important to Danny for people to recognize the Jew than even the champion.
