I don't think we can blame Wilder, it's the promotional team behind him that needs slaughtering.

WTF are they doing?

Regardless if you rate Wilder or not, that promotional team have a WBC Heavyweight Champion and they are struggling to sell over half of a 19,000 capacity venue.

Regardless if you hate Hearn or not, are you telling me he wouldn't be selling out huge venues with somebody like Wilder?

It's a sad state of affairs to be honest.

 

Wilder deserves no more than 25K.

 

Wilder is a flat fee fighter nothing more.

 

Wilder couldn't even draw flies if Al Haymon slathered him head to toe in fresh cow crap.

 

Nah his biggest is like 1,4.
He's never broken the 1,5$ barrier.

 

Wilder is simply boring. He is not even spectacular to watch.

 

A good title for a Deontay Wilder documentary would be 'The Curious Case of an Unspectacular Windmill'.

 

Boxing Fans are simple turned off by a guy who keeps saying he'd destroy Mike Tyson because he says he's stronger and "a better fighter plain and simple" than Mike.

Then he punches windmills and jumps into mid-air to throw a combo. Boxing fans see right through this, Wilder is a fraud.

 

This is what happens when your promoters spend years not wanting to promote you too much cuz they dont want you becoming too much of a money maker and start attracting the attention of some dangerous Boxers. Hell there have been Boxers considered for the hall of fame that have retired with less fights than Wilder has had.

He has not been promoted well at all but his handlers are very experienced in their field, so this is no mistake or error of judgment, so alot of people dont know who he is and alot of those who do know who he is are under the impression he must be not very good to be so protected.

And the fact Wilder and that idiot whats his name the other day claiming America is where the money is at for Joshua v Wilder. BASED ON WHAT?

 

Haymon does a **** job promoting Wilder.
Your heavyweight champ is making same money as Danny Garcia and Andre Berto.

 

That's a shame I had hoped with Wilder trying so hard to build his profile that he would of sold better than he usually does. He's done as much as 12K before but clearly while people are more aware of Wilder they don't believe in him enough to pay to watch him.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see if the Showtime viewing figures are any better for the Ortiz fight.
