To be honest I've being meaning to stick some of his fights on a while ,I only ever really caught him back end .Which has probably made me think he could be caught by Quarry's counters easily .But yes ,I'll definitely catch some of his good stuff .

Explain how Quarry beats down a 195 Qawi who's in top shap. Is Quarry gonna beat down in 8 the Qawi from the first Holy fight?

Quarry had more power, more speed, was physically far bigger, he had the ability to box and had good movement.

Quarry was a well rounded heavyweight.

Evander had not filled out nor was he physically as strong as Quarry when he fought Quawi. Quarry had every advantage. I would love to hear just what Quawi had that Quarry did not.

Barring any advantages , Quawi is in for a long night.

He is in for a long night I agree but not the 8 round beat down that you mentioned. As I said befor Qawi had excellent defense something Quarry didn't. Qawi was the better inside fighter and I believe Qawi was stronger. Say Qawi gets under the jab and is on the inside banging away all night. To me that's a very possible scenario.
It's all this talk of Qawi getting beat down and getting stopped in all these previous posts that I don't get. An in shape 195 lb Qawi isn't getting stopped by Quarry.

Quarry made a real fight with the much bigger, stronger, faster and even more relentless Joe Frazier.

The Mini version of Frazier ( quawi) would be stopped. ( IMO)

    You make a good case!

Quawi could slip under Quarries punches and get inside, its possible , I just don't think it would happen.

    Cheers

A well prepared Quarry, with his head screwed on right, handles Qawi fairly easily.

Everyone reason to believe Qawi could hold his own and do damage. With his powerlifter frame he grew into and carried 190+ very well and pound for pound was as strong as Jerry. He could have banged with him on the inside for a while which is where this fight of course would have happened. Dwight had both excellent defense and punishing jab while Jerry had neither. That said, after sucking up jabs and bleeding and boring in, have to think Jerry's firepower would start to tell and Dwight drops to a knee for good at around 8 or 9.

This is no gimme for Quarry (and I like Quarry btw). Qawi had exceptional head movement (check out his brutal beatdown of Leon Spinks, who is closer to Quarry in size btw). If he can get inside, he can definitely give Quarry uncomfortable moments as he was the better inside fighter. Quarry should outbox Qawi but he could be lured into a brawl. This is close to a 50/50 fight imo. Also, look at how effective Chuvalo was against Quarry when he jabbed, and Qawi had a good jab. Qawi poses some stylistic problems for Quarry.

Actually a challenging fight for Quarry. It's not an easy night.
