No way, Jose. I might be willing to accept a reference to the Chicago Manual as persuasive. But I beg to differ. I don’t think you are quoting the rule correctly.

Regardless, in my opinion, spelling should try to reflect pronunciation in these matters.

Lucked out with a TD after eight completed. The scorecards without the stupid WBC rule to deduct a point from Wangek for the accidental butt would've been 77-73, 76-74, 76-75. Had they completed the last four without the cut becoming a fight-ending issue the door was definitely still wide open for Wangek to close the gap and take it, or score a KO.

Plus, he is declined since then (fought tough fights with Chocolatito and Estrada, then collected some rust) and Wangek hit a stride of both confidence and form since then.
