    308 right? 10 reps. I don't doubt that, he's a big man.

I knew a few 10th graders who weighed about 150 Lbs. who could put up 315 Lbs. They could only do it once, but that's still impressive at age 15.

I don't know if it's true but I heard that Holyfield could put up 405 Lbs in his prime.

Nobody cares, the question is benching the most. He CAN lift same as abody lifter. I didn't say he IS one. I also didn't say it's a strong man contest. Beside the point, when did you become Undisputed heavyweight champion of the world?

There's a big difference between shotput and other throwing motions. Shotput is a push, punching is a throw, swinging a bat is a throw, performing a power clean is a throw. A throw is sequential, a push is simultaneous. That's also the reason why the bench press is a great exercise for a shotputter and a poor exercise for a baseball player.

Do you think that a bigger mass is = more strength? Rahman could bench more for sure

Sounds pretty normal, for elite athletes I mean. I'm a chump but I used to do my roadwork with the Australian 800m runners. These guys were so skinny probably around light middleweight 154. They looked like nothing with their shirts off, just very lean. But in the weight room they were beasts, I trained with one guy who ran in the 2008 Olympics didn't make the final or anything like that, who put up 315 bench all the time, he could also deadlift 4 plates with ease. They only did weights twice a week but their legs were unbelievably strong. Mosely would cut from lightweight from 150 so it sounds reasonable.

    Bump.

As mentioned, Rahman, Briggs, Tua, and Foreman have all got to be up there I’d guess.

I might throw Andrew Golota in the mix as well, he looked like he could have put up some impressive numbers back in the day.

Im not a hundred percent on the actual number but in High School I saw a kid bench over 300lbs and I remember it because it was a competition and I cant remember exactly how much but I know it was 300lbs.
My brother put up I think 325lb at age 16/17 because when they would put up a weight and were succesful they were given a shirt that would say 250lb club,275lb club etc. He eventually benched 400lb but he was in college when he did that- think he was either a junior or senior.
