Thankfully for Tubbs in this match-up, he doesn't. If he's trying to lean back from Wlad's punches with his hands at his waist, he's not coming out of the first round.

Fury pulled it off because he was 6'9 and Wlad was old.

Tubbs had much better fundamentals than Fury, and if he went into survival mode he'd go 12 and lose a lopsided decision. But if he wants to win the fight he'll have to try and come within Wlad's reach, and Wlad will smoke him when he does.

So why couldn't he smoke Haye and Jennings when they came into his blast radius?

Or the slow as a sloth Sam Peter?

Haye? He did nothing but try and survive for 11 rds. It was just the 12th he tried to press the attack a bit more.

    Wlad did KO Peter.

Haven't seen the Jennings fight, but he'd passed his best by then anyhow. Tubbs lasted all of 3 rds with Brian effing Nielsen at a similar age.

Apparently whenever he got on a little roll he spent the money on drugs.

Thats a total myth. If Haye was only in survival mode than why.t.f was Wlad illegally holding and pushing him down every round?
He even got a point defected for it. IN Germany , his own back yard.

Haye made ample effort throughout the fight and was met bear housing and octopus tactics. It was acutally Haye that was going for it more than Wlad was. Haye clearly tried to fight while inside , Wlad only wanted to hold on.
It should have been Haye holding on and trying to survive ffs.
You're right about the 12th though. The only significant punch of the fight was landed by Haye , not Wlad.
He was lucky his corrupt ref allowed him ride out the storm ontop of Haye's back piece because he was momentarily buzzed and staggered.

Wlad ko'd a washed up and shot to absolute bits Peter. Against prime undefeated Peter he went life n death and tasted the canvas 3 times.
If Wlad can't smoke these cupcakes and gets repeatedly popped clean by them , then how would he smoke and dominate Tubbs who was better than them both?

Peter was a very strong come forward puncher with a devastating punch. Tubbs was a different kind of fighter. He folded like a house of cards when Tyson hit him. I don't think he'd take Wlad's best.

"Haye made ample effort throughout the fight..."

    That's a good one.

His punch power wasn't devastating at all. Who did he knock out? 24 round against James Tony ffs. Plus he was statuesque in his movement and had awful skills. If Wlad was so great he would lit that guy up and flattened him for the count , or at the least David Tua'd him behind the jab. No real ATG would look like Wlad against Peter. A DQ would even have been justified for excessive holding.

Tyson was Tyson. Wlad nor anybody else could replicate a performance of 80's Mike.

He outlanded WK on power punches and was held so much Wlad ended up wit a point deduction. Those facts prove me right and you wrong.

peter was never actually trained for championship boxing, let alone being capable at the top level. He was there to capitalise on 6-8 rounders.

Hes not smoeone you should brandish, you ought to be ashamed he fought for a title. How odd.
