Not really. The first time he might have been on the way to a deserved DQ because he had 0 respect for Richard Steele and shoulder-butted razor and looked right at the referee like "what are you gonna do about it? Nothing? That's what I thought."

But the rematch ruddock was retaliating against the low blows and after the bell shots, he wore his trunks very high in both fights so alot of theblows weren't really that low and razor was himself never even warned for sticking his left hand out and leaving it out there(measuring), which is illegal and he did it over and over.
Razor was also only warned and never penalized for holding behind the head(get off the neck razor!!)
The rematch was just a tough rough macho-type fight where no one gave or asked for any quarter.

So while tyson may have been the more spirited guy in terms of the punching-fouls, you can't disqualify him if the other guy is hitting him back low and after the bell and iniating other fouls. Regardless of who started it

Thank God we have gloves with attached thumbs nowadays. The eye poking was absurdly common, damaging and easy to get away with back in the day. Especially with all the pawing, infighting and wrestling in the black and white tapes compared to the "modern" boxing style.

Tyson landed plenty of low shots in that bout without Ruddock retaliating. He was fouling out of desperation and should have been disqualified.

Strange interpretation of his intentions, most rational people would look at it as him just trying to workthebody as effectively as possible against a guy who had his shorts up to his nipples and had such long arms that his elbows protected his body very well when he shelled up.

Tyson usually held and clinched when desperate or uncomfortable.

By your logic, ruddock should have been disqualified for sticking his arm out and holding behind the head trying to keep Tyson away out of desperation.

ruddock himself didn't seem that upset about it after the fight and even said "Tyson really proved something to me tonight" so yours is a very unusual opinion but you're certainly entitled to it.

Like I said earlier in the thread, it's not ballet it's boxing and the objective is to get your hand raised at the end. So I don't take offense to Evander or to Tyson or thedozens of other great fighters who went beyond the rules

I suggest you go and watch the fight again, Tyson was hitting low out of desperation towards the end of the bout. He did it on numerous occasions after having points deducted, if that's not worthy of disqualification then nothing is.

You could say that. Holyfield, by the way, had a reputation as a dirty fighter in the amateurs. Did you know this? Holyfield did, in fact, bite an opponent in the amateurs.

Wlad was top 5 worst cheater in HW history. You turn a blind eye to his rotten behavior because he's another one of these EE types you salivate over.

The Dino laugh track continues. Wlad was among the cleaner champions. Exactly how did he cheat, and please don't say clinching as Ali was just as bad. I do not like foulers, and think Golota was about as bad as they come.

" During a semifinal bout at the Georgia Golden Gloves competition, a teen-aged Holyfield bit Jakey Winters on the shoulder shortly after being knocked down in the second round.

"Yeah, I remember," Holyfield said Thursday, after being honored at Atlanta City Hall for retaining his WBA heavyweight title. "He knocked me down. I got up and swung at him, he grabbed me and I was trying to get loose. He wouldn't let me go, so I bit him on the shoulder."

    >>Like I said, the dirty fighters tend to foul when they need to! Holy was also DQ's in the Olympics is I'm not mistaken.

I won't say clinching , ill say attempting to snap guys spinal cords with his entire body frame.. Ali never fouled like that and he couldn't even if he tried.

Look at the sate of him^ disgusting. He's very luck none of his victims sustained serious injuries. Going as far as calling him one of the 'cleanest champ' out there just shows what a biased pig you are.

You also have him putting down illegal spongy canvas in the ring to limit guys movement and prestenting guys with ridiculous illegal slave contracts.
Pov ad Fury were forced to sign rematch contracts despite being mandatory challengers.
