When will Dubois/Yarde stop the BUM CIRCUIT & fight legit foes?!

Dubois has the potential to be a real danger at HW, so young and already has concussive power. No rush with him though, would expect him to be moved slowly until the British title is attainable (when Hughie wins & vacates) then slowly progress further.

Yarde I'm not so sure. Seems like they're not keen on him facing someone who seems to be a logical step up for him (thinking Burton, Buglioni etc) and keep boasting about how highly ranked he is. I'd hope that Frank isn't foolish enough to think he can throw him in with an elite level guy after feeding him journeymen left right and centre, because its highly unlikely to go down well

In fairness, through browsing boxing forums since my teens (not necessarily commenting on this one, although BlizzyBlizz and his hatred of Joshua does spring to mind), I've noticed that a lot of black Americans who would typically get behind black American fighters can tend to be quite dismissive and scornful toward their British counterparts. One can only speculate as to why, but it's definitely a prevalent trait, if perhaps not a monolithic one -- maybe it's the lispy accents (Nigel, Eubank Sr., Herol, Kell, etc.), maybe there's some kind of conception of British black folks sipping cups of tea in between shining the silver and setting tables for dukes and lords, I dunno. Meanwhile, and ironically, black British culture has been increasingly taking cues from US 'ghetto' culture in the last 10-15 years, which is manifesting in 'characters' like Davies and Yarde.

Strange how nobody is hounding Frank Bruglioni to step up to world level. Whats good for the goose is good for the gander :spidey:

That's probably because he already tried and failed, quite a difference with a guy that's hyped and is yet to fight a good opponent.

Dubois would now start to benefit from fighting solid journeyman purely because he is learning little
from his current opposition, Kamil Sosnowski type journeyman would be perfect in my opinion,
some might think that he should be more ambitious but at 20 years of age and only 1 year in to his career I think
he should be taking small steps, he doesnt have the experience of Yoka, Joyce, Dychko or Hrgovic so there is no need to fast track him.

Well, Buglioni already got his ass kicked at fringe world level (or world level, if that's where you rate Dmitry Chudinov). Before that, he was ragged on plenty by those who pay attention to the British domestic scene, including myself, on his way to being slapped about by Sergey Khomitsky. Buglioni has always sold tickets on account of local popularity (he's a North Londoner with an everybloke personality who fits in well with the sensibilities of the football crowd), but, ever since being slapped about by a blown-up MW and being beaten half to death by Chudinov, there's no illusion of worldbeater quality to be deconstructed. The last couple years for Buglioni have been a matter of getting the most out of the (by his own admission) limited ability he has - he's done well just to have navigated this recent string of undefeated domestic guys, let alone higher-level assignments. His momentum is very modest and there are no great pretensions around him. Yarde, meanwhile, is building up a head of steam over here, loudly advertising world class ambitions, getting noticed. It's natural that people will call for him to start taking on some tastier assignments.

Yes, I agree. He's a high level journeyman. Price didn't have an easy time with him either, assuming you mean Sokolowski.

Where you think he is or not is irrelevant. Bruglioni stepped up in class and FAILED miserably. Making your attempt at a point moot.

In the same paragraph you've claimed he gets ragged on a plenty while also being a popular likable personality with a large following. Make up your mind guy.
I know what you're trying to tell me though , Yade needs to take a pasting before people warm to him.

And for that matter, I don't doubt that Buglioni will try his luck again at some level approximating world class before too long. That is, of course, if he doesn't come unstuck defending his British title (the fact that I have to include this caveat says a lot,).

He isn't, but at that time he was considered to be legit top10 and the WBA beltholder. And at this time he's still rated far above anyone Yarde fought.

    But you know this.

Yarde is useless so i couldn't care less if he steps up or not because he will get murdered by anyone decent.

Dubois should be brought along steadily, what people dont like is his opponents seem so over matched that its dangerous.
I don't want him to jump in with euro level fighters just durable journeymen like mentioned above.
On dubois i think he has at least decent potential, how much i don't know due to his poor level of opposition

I don't think you understand what I told you. On his way up, he caught a lot of flack from British fight fans, people who actually follow the scene (like the guys currently ragging on Yarde on this forum). Since being battered from pillar to post by guys who are barely world level, the hype he had has deflated. The people who buy tickets to watch Buglioni are football casuals, people who don't really follow boxing, but whom follow Buglioni because he's 'one of them', a local boy done good, etc.

Not exactly. More that Buglioni's already been put into perspective wthin his industry.
