A tasty little bout .Could Roldan rumble and shoot down the hawk or does Jackson do a faster job than Hagler ?

Jackson does a faster job than Hagler. Obviously, not because he was better than Marvin... but styles suggest that Roldan ends up flat on his back inside of 5.

Styles also suggest that Hagler has an easier time with Jackson than he had with Roldan.

Agreed Hearns and Nunn stopped him different styles I think Jackson hits harder than Hagler and his hands were faster.....

Who did Jackson cold **** out at middleweight? He wasn't exactly primed or the same destroyer he was earlier in his career up at middle....

I think Roldan would walk into something big ,and it might be early.

Ah! A really good win and I have no idea why I spaced on it, but Herol didn't have the hardest chin to get to as his career wore on. In my opinion Jackson looked out sized and outgunned at the weight. Look at the two McClellan matches.

Mate he knocked out herol graham spark cold with one shot and graham was like 43-1 had never been floored in his career.

He also put out cardamone with one shot in a fight he was losing in a world title fight

Jackson had very underrated boxing skills .

This is a brilliant match up.roldan rode shots well and could take a helluva shot.once he got in a rhythm his quirky and effective footwork and defence would get him inside.inside i think he starts to maul jackson and cuts him with a headbutt and ends up stopping him on an eye cut in 8 rounds

In fairness, McClellan was no middleweight. He was a supermiddleweight who starved himself down to 160 until he no longer could. A much bigger man than Roldan.

Roldan had a solid chin, but he wasn't exactly Jake Lamotta.

I definitely think Julian could and would starch him.

I'll take Roldan. His awkward style and oddball punches land on Jackson. And Jackson isn't much in the absorbing department. Better whiskers belong to Roldan and the bout won't go 5 rounds anyway.

I'd lean toward Jackson ko'ing him but i wouldn't count out Roldan mauling efforts. Roldan would need to be all over him.

Roldan would come out quick with his bull like strength and try to nail JJ
with his clubbing right hands . Would be a short but exciting fight with
Roldan put JJ on the canvas before JJ catches Roldan rushing in with
big right hand and Roldan is counted out in 4 rds.

Well that's the thing Roldan could bang and was tough the difference to me is the raw unbridled power Jackson possessed but Roldan could spark him out as well

I think he would beat Roldan, but Roldan's wild style makes it very interesting. He would have a hard time lining him up with that big punch. Guys like Roldan gave Hearns and Hagler tougher fights than Hill gave Hearns or Duran gave Hagler.
