That right there is the bet of the weekend IMO. How on Earth the bookies have Thomas as a 9/4 dog and Allen 1/3 is completely beyond my comprehension. Probably even more stupid than having Groves odds against for the Eubank fight.

I like Dave Allen as do most people but he's a slugger who doesn't have one punch KO power, doesn't throw enough shots and starts blowing after 6 rounds. Thomas isn't a world beater let's be honest but the guy has fundamental boxing skills which Allen lacks.

Lump on Thomas Pts @ 4/1. I said Groves odds against was printing money - this ones like someone giving you the keys to the Royal Mint!

I'm absolutely convinced Allen stops him.

I agree that Allen doesn't have one punch KO power but it's going to be a different fight this time, Allen has to start quickly, has to maul, grab, wrestle, pull and most importantly punch more.

I see Thomas tiring badly and getting stopped mid to late.

Possible of course but I think that's an assessment of gut feeling rather than facts - which is fair enough of course.

Based on the first fight I just can't see Allen winning. I think he'll come out swinging and try to blast Thomas out which he won't be able to do, Dave will end up blowing from round 6 onwards and Thomas will just box him to a decision victory. Dave just doesn't put any punches together and I don't see how he beats a decent boxer without the KO power.

I do like Dave and although I'll be whacking a chunk on Thomas to win again I won't be fussed if Dave wins.

Not usually a gambler but like a value bet every now and then, made a fortune out of the second Price vs Thompson fight...have stuck some money on Thomas points...

Only thing I can think of is people are getting behind Allen because he’s trained like a beast for this fight...but from what I’ve heard so had Thomas and he’s fundementally a better boxer...

Bivol, Brook by decision and Wilder by KO is my weekend treble.

Allen hurt Thomas last time and hardly even trained.

He’s lost two stone now and is incredibly fit, he won’t gas.

Thomas could of course win on points but there’s a very good chance Allen KOs him this time around, and even if he doesn’t he will likely win in points.
