Hate to break it to you but Pac is not a PPV draw anymore.

 

I haven't read the whole thread. Do we even know if he initially agreed to fight on the undercard and then changed his mind?

 

Should have a last fight in Philipines in June when i have my Holiday over there. So i can visit 3 crystal blue water white sand Islands and get to watch boxing as a bonus LOL.

Yes, the real IB has never hidden the fact that he finds the Pac army to be the most reprehensible zealous, irrationally emotional, and impervious to reasonable discourse fanbase in all of sports.

Pac himself I don't have much problem with, I'd say I'm neutral towards him (but of course anything short of hallowing the ground he walks on constitutes hating in the eyes of his zonked out true believers) but the fans are trash.

 

Cotto didn't even come close to the career of Pacquiao. Manny Pacquiao due to his amazing boxing career is going to be on a long leash with the fans.

 

I guarantee you Erik Morales is a more beloved fighter than Cotto. And also quite a few notches above him in talent and greatness as well.

Cotto has been on 3 PPV's as the smaller draw. Canelo, Mayweather and Pacquiao were bigger draws and he sold at least 900K in all those fights.

His biggest PPV that he did when being the main draw financially was Mosley where he topped out at 400K. Which in the grand scheme of things is quite a lot of PPV's.

 

I don't get his Pacquiao hate. It's just so stupid and makes no sense. Almost every other fan loved watching the guy fight. What's not to like? Did this man own a ****ing Television in the 2000's?

 

see, i dont have that problem, i can loathe a certain fan base, and still see the reality in the fighter. i started out with contempt for the pac fans, and theres plenty of old threads of me shredding them up for what lomas super fans are doing now. but reality is reality, and an old, uninterested pac is still a tall order and will still draw more numbers fighting any welter, than any of the titlists could.
you need to make it about the reality, not about how you feel about the reality. nobody cares about what makes ib tic.
