i dont see oscar progressing as fast as i had hoped when i first got on the bandwagon, but his fights dont disappoint and he is still good enough to beat quigg. they both wing their shots like theyre wearing casts, but oscar is faster and more damaging.

I'm not so sure I'd favor Quigg over Marriaga if they met. They're of a similar caliber.

There's nothing wrong with Valdez' beard or his punching power. Miguel Marriaga is very tough and carries a decent dig, but Valdez was able to absorb solid connects from the Colombian and hurt him with a single shot. He's a more effective puncher when he relaxes and lets the shots come, while his shaky moments in the 4th against Servania had more to do with temporary fatigue and fundamentally poor evasive maneuvering (i.e. balance) than anything else. Throwing around 60 a round and putting that much steam into so many of them, even a very fit man will experience pockets of fatigue within rounds, during which he's vulnerable both to his opponent's advances and his own lazy form.

While he's not the biggest hitter or the most granite-jawed, power and chin are there in respectable measures. Valdez' real problems are overloading every shot and overzealous engagement in the trenches, and those could conceivably get him in more trouble here, although I do favor him to navigate the Bury man. That said, while I don't expect Quigg to be the one who capitalizes, Valdez will likely come unstuck before he meets anything close to elite talent, due to his failure to use his gifts in such a way as to compensate for the technical shortcomings he has — he's not an especially good pure boxer, but his athletic prowess could allow him to win a lot of fights easily at B level, instead of being dragged into these attritional encounters (which, while entertaining for us, aren't good for him).

I think Valdez stops Quigg on his feet, feel he is just a little better and will just keep getting the better of the Brit round after round but Quigg will get stuck in too. Its guna be gruelling, a bit ugly and a good watch. And i hope Quigg does it.

Marriaga lol Who the hell hasMarriaga beat? Quigg KO'd Kiko Martinez in 2 rounds! You are gonna look really stupid after this fight I'll be bumping your dumb ass quotes after Quigg beats him up.

I quote Marriaga. In saying the other quitter "Walters hits harder than him". That's really the case in Valdez. It's simple, they can take his power and give it back with gusto. Servania could take his best shot except his left hook and so could Marriaga. I quote Freddie Roach. When he said " His left hook is his best punch". We can talk about speed. I quote Scott Quigg who sparred Valdez. In his Brit accent " There is nothing special about it".

Throwing hard punches all the time, damn right he is going to fatigue. I think he is throwing a million home run punches in training as we speak right now. Hope he is in prime shape. Because i wasn't impress with his media work out. He looks like he over trained. They did say, they trained in Quadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico taking advantage of high altitude training. Enjoying the city and the food. Etc. Maybe they did have the best training camp, who knows.

Quigg has the power to put Valdez down. It's a 50/50 a pick em fight. But I gotta go with based on the word of mouth and base on the footage we have seen of Valdez last 2 fights. He is not having it his way he either needs to relax as you say or he is just not this big banger he thinks he is and maybe he should change his style a bit.

I still think Quigg could surprise Valdez cause that boy Quigg is hitting hard with both hands right now. Definitely Valdez needs to be cautious. Or he will go down again.

Tete is a bum. And you've never spoke to a Mexican in your life yet you'll be supporting Valdez over your fellow brit because you are racist.

You seem saltier than Frank Wrren was when Butler's head was sent to the stratosphere by that Tete uppercut. Has nothing to do with Nationality. I've never thought anything of Quigg. He proved my point in that soft ass snooze fest, he lost against the Cowardly Lion of Belfast.

My username is taking the **** out of Paul Butlers Mum who used to hilariously scream '' Come on Paul '' throughout his fights a few years back. I'm not even a fan of him.

How can you call top fighters cowards when you can't even say where you live? You are the coward.

All your posts are to do with race and nationality. You hate all British fighters yet you probably milk welfare benefits here. Tete has beaten nobody. Liverpool or Manchester alone has better fighters than the entire nation of South Africa combined!

    okay

Three top guys all turned into Eunuchs whenever a certain smaller boxers name was mentioned. So yea, that is cowardly of them. Quigg was one of the cowardly bitches.

You were obviously stung by one of my comments in the past. Get over it. I don't hate British fighters, I don't really hate any fighter that I recall.
