I wouldn't say Pride FC encouraged juicing it's just they turned a blind eye as there was no testing done in Japan.

Pride was extremely popular but it stopped due to the media running a story about Pride being owned and ran by the Yakuza (Japanese Mafia). Now the Yakuza are entrenched in Japanese society and its well known that they have there hands in everything however once the media ran the story it was over.

It was too public and the TV network which put up the money for Pride FC shows (Fuji TV) had to pull the plug. They couldn't be seen to be getting into bed with a Yakuza company so Fuji TV walked away. This was a problem as the production for Pride shows was very expensive and without a TV deal pride couldn't front the money themselves to keep running shows.

I'm younger than most on here and as a result I'm dead center MMA's target audience. But I just can't get into the sport. I watch some of the high profile fights but I just don't care enough to follow the sport.

Nope. I used to be a fan of both, although I always preferred boxing, but I got sick of the mma fans and all the WWE hype of the UFC; so I stopped watching it. Boxing fans are idiots. MMA fans are mongoloid idiots.

Honestly I have a hard time thinking of a bout I look forward to more than Ferguson - Nurmagomedov.

I have capacity to enjoy more than one discipline.

I prefer boxing and even kickboxing to MMA. Too bad only a few good kickboxers are out there now.

I hate live events, man. I get extremely anxious around large groups of people. I barely left the house for like a ten year stretch a few years back. There's something about the lights, the sounds, the smells that I just find disorienting. I'm working on it, but that's like my idea of hell.

I know what you mean it can be quite daunting , try seated shows first, ive been to a few smaller Muay Thai shows in Thailand , very enjoyable and most do a drink service right to your seat ;)

We can’t fight without the music! It’s our rhythm... If you think MT music is bad go to a Lethwi event in Myanmar, now that music is insane...the cymbals

Been into boxing for most of my life but I am also a long time fan of most combat sports and especially appreciate the skills needed at the elite level.
