    Here is a scary thought:

Perhaps this is what a clean super heavyweight looks like!

Not a chance. The division is just full of big guy's many of whom are proportionally big. In basketball 6'7" is about 205-215 lbs. In boxing 6'5" is 230-250 lbs. In the NFL 6'5" is 250-330 pounds, and they test pretty hard for PED's

Wilder very slim lower body prevents him from carrying a lot of weight.

    From the regular forum:

Luis Ortiz has just been measured before the Wilder fight, and it turns out that Ortiz is not 6'4 with a 84inch reach, but is actually 6'3 with a 76 inch reach.

Source the Ortiz vs Wilder weigh in that is live right now.

I always thought of Wilder as a heavyweight version of Bob Foster.

He reminds me of Hearns without the mobility.

Boxing history is coming back to life!

Dimensions are being misreported like it is the Jeffries era!

We have a #2 heavyweight, who looks more like a Fred Fulton era super heavy!

But Wilder seems to have that long, lean but solid kind of muscle. Even though Joe Louis was smaller, the basic outline of their physiques were similar. Wilder and Louis tended to be more mesomorphic/ectomorphic.

    78 not 76 inch reach...

Don't matter none. As long as Ortiz doesn't need his walker and doesn't sit there and wait for shots like Stiverne he should do this. But he has looked ancient in his last outings... But then Wilder couldn't cope with a mediocre southpaw for many a round.

Its heavies who can hit. You really do throw the science out the window sometimes.

Yeah, Ortiz’ reported 84-inch reach was even more suspect than Liston’s, who was probably at least somewhere around 80. Makes you wonder how many other heavyweights have used exaggerated height and reach measurements.
