Whyte is levels below Ortiz, doesn't hit as hard and has zero skills. Wilder won't learn nothing from that fight,
but in terms of money it's a good fight.

This. The first person that doesn't gas against him will probably beat him. Fury from the Wlad fight would've been countering his head off.

But, my hat is off to Ortiz. For a guy his age and his lack of activity he was taking it to Wilder the whole fight. He earned his purse.

    Darn tooting.

I really want to say ****ing A right. But bypassing the filters is against the rules.

But yeah.... Even at 214 against a heavy hitter, he took massive shots and never stopped fighting back.
Heart and power. Speed and chin.
2 things NOBODY BUT THE TROLLS even considered.

He fought stupid, as we've seen so many times, but he won the fight in wearing his heart on his sleeve and giving Ortiz every chance to crack the glass. That glass is now on par with the best in the division.

Man, this was great. No need for moaning, we all knew Wilder have journeyman skills. His jab was terrible though, worse than I expected.

BUT the real question was regarding his chin. And it held up, against one of the hardest punchers in the division. I give probs for that!

Still think Joshua will do a number on him. But with the chin Wilder showed tonight, I give Wilder a better chance against Joshua than before the Ortiz fight.

AJ out jabs him and stops inside 7 rounds. Wilder is too sloppy and would eat right hands from Joshua.

By simply surviving, kind of like in this fight. More and more Wilder is becoming a headhunter. He's got little skill, but is decent at avoiding punches but still losing round after round, but then gets the KO. I could see him doing that to the lumbering, slow Joshua.

are people forgetting the extra time in the beginning of round 7 where they gave wilder extra time? even paulie called them out on it. those 10 seconds made a huge difference, but of course they had to protect their baby.

For a roid cheating to go cold turkey and still show that display of determination, I gotta admit that in spite of my contempt for the man, he's earned my respect coming back from a monster R hand and getting wore out for 230 if the next Rd, then suddenly Take the fight right to Wilder.

    Props to both fighters.

Can't wait to watch it with American English commentary

I hope Ortiz got paid well tonight. I love to see people rewarded for their hard work.
