I'm saying it now, Wilder is the hardest hitting HW of all time.

Combat and Wass engaging in a verbal war? I am shocked. They have shown a remarkable ability to accept difference of opinion and/or criticism throughout their distinguished runs on here.

He was an embarrassment? Looked unprofessional? Can't think of another heavyweight champion who conducted himself that way?

Guess you haven't watched Baer-Carnera in a while.

There are many fighters Heavyweights who have had sick power (Wilder & bomb squad is one of them) but fighters with flaws can not stay at the top of the heap so there are other qualities that are needed. Gerry Cooney had a sick left hook but one armed & managed wrong. Wilder has had a good amateur experience but so far has not fought the better fighters of the division. The best he fought now was a 39- 40 yr old guy if thats acurate. I like Wilder but he has a lot of competition like Joshua, Povetkin & fresh batch of Heavyweights he will have to get through in coming years. Areola,Stiverne & Ortiz are his best scalps thus far. I want to see Wilder tested by a real fit heavyweight who can fight like a fit man for 12 rds and as he rises in level we will see how far his power brings him.

Yes. Ortiz is skilled. He was 349-19 as an amateur on the Cuban National Team.

Yes. He has KO power. He was fighting a 6'7" heavyweight who was staying way out of punching range and Ortiz was looking to counter, which he did effectively for 10 rounds.

Ali and Holmes were extremely durable. Surprised this is even a point of debate.

Sounds like you either haven’t watched much Ortiz or don’t understand what you’ve watched. Maybe you judge fighters by their waistlines? Ortiz’s superb power should be obvious to any sensible observer who has seen him fight. He had an outstanding, extensive amateur career, has a good punch arsenal, and is one of the best heavyweight counterpunches in quite some time. Sounds like you’re mistaking him for Sam Peter.

I’d expect him to win every fight George Foreman won, for starters...
