Hes like a heavyweight hearns with the sloppiness of max bear and the clubbing hands of foreman. Very weird, but it works!

Definitely in the top 5 for sheer destructive power. This mofo doesnt even get proper leverage or snap in his punches, hes just heavy handed af and beats the crap out his opponent like a street hoodlum. I dont think any human being could survive a flush barrage of punches.

The Rock is the hardest puncher of all time. That has been proven time and again.

Being a good amatuer doesn't equate to being a good pro. Beating Jennings makes you a world class fighter? Ortiz has KO power because of what? Because he knocked out other bums?

Right but they weren't. Ali was hit a lot by Joe Frazier who was never a big puncher against guys bigger than him. Holmes was a boxer who moved around the ring. He didn't stand their and trade with punches. A durable guy would be somebody like Chuvalo, Foreman, or McCall who got hit often and for the most part were rarely hurt or stopped.

Went 9 rounds with Eric Molina.

Went 9 rounds with Artur Szpilka.

Went 11 rounds with Johann Duhapaus.

Went 8 rounds with a shot Chris Arreola.

You think Foreman, Shavers, Louis, Tyson, Lewis etc. would've had those guys out of there earlier ?? LOL.
OP - Come back when you've got a clue.

Hard to tell since we can't compare him to other ones in history, he' definitely the hardest hitter around today though no question harder hitter than that bodybuilder joshua, Joshua only scored a 970 on a punch p.s.i. machine! I bet wilder would double that

Actually Sam Peter was a better fighter than Ortiz. Which is why he was able to knock down Wlad 3 times in their first fight and almost beat him. Unless you are saying Wilder is better than Wlad. If you are saying that then I suggest you stay off the drugs.

Ortiz has a superb power because he knocked out who? Bryant Jennings? If you want to use that logic Ty Fields had amazing world class power too. Sure he never knocked out a good fighter in their primes but he did have a high KO percentage.

Being good in the amateurs doesn't equate to being a good pro boxer. Ortiz was gassed out after 5 rounds. Which means he has no stamina. Foreman gassed out in 8 rounds against Ali and according to want to be fight experts on forums like this his stamina is horrible. Ortiz wasn't throwing many punches. He isn't skilled at all for a pro boxer. He is a slow and plodding. He is even slower than fat Foreman.

There is nothing special about Ortiz and Wilder beating him doesn't make Wilder special.

Good Lord. Have you watched boxing in the last decade? I'm being serious. Or are you just arguing for the hell of it?

You said Luis Ortiz had no skills and he was just a ponderous fat guy.

You think a guy who racks up 349 amateur wins in the best amateur boxing program in the world doesn't have skills?

And you're going on and on about George freaking Chuvalo? Who did he dominate with his power and skill? Dick Wipperman?

How many times was Ortiz stopped in his nearly 400 amateur and pro fights - because they stop fights a hellluva lot quicker in the amateurs than they do in the pros? How many times was he knocked down?

You watch a boxing match from this century and learn "something" about the people you're commenting on before embarrassing yourself.

What's that got to do with anything bird brain, i could bring up names that lasted against the above fighters.

You think George Johnson would last 7 rounds against Wilder like he did Foreman?

You believe Chuck Leslie would last 10 rounds against Wilder like he did Shavers?

    Want me to go on.......

Now come back when you begin to know a thing or two about boxing, guess that'll be never then.

The only fighting he's seen is the scraps to sit on the back seats of the "Special Bus."
