At this point, it's probably far more valid to criticize Wilder's technique than his chin. But the ol' hippie is nothing if not persistent, so I'm guessing he angles towards the Ortiz is actually 90 years old route.

He's probably about halfway to 90, actually. Seriously, Wilder proved he could beat a decent, if aging and inactive, contender - and in that sense he's slightly more legitimate than his record would have indicated up to this point, BUT 1) The jury is STILL out on his chin 2) His technique SUCKS; and 3) A younger, more complete fighter like Joshua will almost certainly KO or comprehensively outbox this guy. In sum, then, until he beats a few PRIME top-level contenders, I still view him as a big question mark, if not entirely as fraudulent as the EVIDENCE indicated up to this point.
Yup. Wilder is getting VERY overrated off this Ortiz victory. His chin is still as glassy as the Nichols and Sconiers fights showed, just waiting to be smashed to bits by a fighter who isn't pushing 40, or perhaps 50, and on medication for high blood pressure!!
It's amazing! Wilder beat one old man with high blood pressure, who's way overrated anyway, and people think he can actually take a punch. Wilder's STILL the same glass jawed joke who got decked by Dustin Nichols and Harold Sconiers.
I had Ortiz 7-2 up vs Wilder, it was a very one-sided fight until the stoppage. If Joshua lands 1/5th of the punches that Ortiz lands then it's going to be over very quickly.
