Apparently the fight is still going ahead :risas3:

FFS, so they are not going to ban him then, they have already decided, personally I didn't think they would but this is such a bad look for Canelo and the WBC.

The WBC will be getting absolutely slaughtered on Twitter.

LOL always sounded strange. Guess now everybody knows what it meant.

A natural athlete just needs to up his calories and lift some weights to gain 5 pounds, not to mention canelo was already drained and rehydrated huge at 155.
He made a strong and stocky guy like Cotto look like a frail child.

I like canelos fighting style and I'm not anti PED but his weight BS excuses when he was obviously a massive guy and was bullying smaller guys for years was annoying.
He gets what he had coming.

Absolutely disgusting, not only he bought off the judges but also juiced for the first fight.
Anyone who supports this is a scumbag.

This is an excellent post, one of the best in this thread.

Now, it is true that Mexico has a problem with tainted meat. Thus a Mexican caught for any of these stamina-enhancing drugs is more likely to be from contamination than most others. However, it is clearly not fair for the Mexicans to always get away with taint amounts because of this, while others get suspended, stripped, or banned for the same offense. Ultimately it's the fighter's responsibility to make sure he tests clean, and while a hard-up young fighter may have little choice, any star has full options, just like a star of any other nationality, and therefore should be treated the same.

BTW, this is probably worse than the Luis Nery drug test.

The drug that Nery tested for, zilpaterol increases both muscle mass and weight. So it's a mixed bag. Most boxers struggle to make weight, certainly Nery does, so it's not 100% clear exactly why he would take it. More likely, however, he's been bulking up with this and using something else to get down to weight.

Clenbuterol increases stamina and helps cut weight. It's clear that both would help Canelo, in fact more so than Browne, who has no obvious need to cut weight.

They won't ban him. Ironically this cricket player got banned for Clen. Cricket has more integrity then Nevada!

So they should Povetkin tested for minute doses of a drug only just banned a few months earlier (with minimal pre warning) of which no one had any idea how long it tales to go out of your system. Not a cash cow bye bye fight..

I still hope the fight goes ahead and they test Clemelo on a daily basis (at his expense).

No he fought it and said he did nothing wrong. Also Tyson Fury did not serve a ban as an active fighter.

He was given a 2 year rec perspective ban which he doesn't agree with because he is still claiming his innocence..

Whether he has active or not is irrelevant..

    Of course they're true.

This ginger piece of filth has been endangering his opponent's lives by fighting with the full knowledge that he has roids flowing through his system.

There's nothing to like about cheats.

Bradley Wiggins is another ginger cheat who was found out today.

Get rid of them all I say.

I have been saying for a while now that there was no way Canelo was making 154 without help. It was very fishy when he cancelled the VADA testing against smith very close to the fight:
