I think the point he us making that no person in their right mind would knowingly consume a drug like that.

Every big fight Canello has been in he has his diet monitored. Someone please explain to me how a Mexican star athlete accidentally eat meat from Mexico. Knowing damn well it could be tainted.

He has nutritionist cooking and preparing his meal. You can't use this excuse in this day and age. Not when you are worth millions and about to make 50+ million. You buy premium meat and vegetable for your training.

In my country it's illegal to use that substance go make the cows grow up. Imagine what it does to the human body. It was what Arnold used to take back in the 80's, his body is completely destroyed, he is literally destroyed in his inside and he's lucky to be alive.

In the USA, or mexico you use a lot of sheet to feed your cows, and to grow your vegetables, in europe it is completely forbiden. I repeat, not a single elite sportman would take that in 2018 unless he wants to kill himself.

    Guilty as charged.

It'll be interesting to know how many others are of the same opinion and agenda as IsaL, in that they slated Povetkin and Ortiz, yet are somehow willing to give Canelo "the benefit of the doubt."

At least try and be consistent.

I'm a huge fan of Canelo, and I feel he should be given the benefit of the doubt when you consider all the facts.

    1. He tested positive for banned substance
    2. MX has a problem with contaminated meat
    3. Canelo has been a clean fighter in and out of the ring up until now

If they decide to ban him, I'm ok with that.
If they decide to fine him as well, I think that's ok too.

There are steroids and there is clenbuterol. Clenbuterol is not a normal steroid. It freaking kills the one taking it.

Anyone taking clenbuterol in 2018 has to be rtrded. I just dont believe that a millionaire sportman that could take literally anything chooses to take clenbuterol, I just dont believe it, period.

Are you joking? Jesus christ some of you people amuse me.

Done a few cycles have you fella?

As a former BB'er that trains up and comers, I can assure you, you are wrong on both accounts.

    1. Yes people use clen for cutting quick weight. There is virtually no loss in overall strength as you run it, as it is arguably anti-catabolic when used correctly. Perfect for boxing.
    2. Getting popped for clen through meat is a crock of ****.
    3. Why is Canelo getting away with it when people like Lucas Browne had to pay the price? Hell, people are banned for 6+ months for smoking weed or even preworkouts with DMHA in them.

Wilder is a special situation. For one, Povetkin has failed twice. Secondly, there has been like 3-4 different fighters that have used PEDs leading up to fights with Wilder.

The benefit of the doubt should be that he unknowingly consumed it through contaminated meat.

The first one I'm patting him on the head to make him feel better.

The second, I'm quietly rejoicing in his discomfort.

The third one I just can't contain myself, I'm in full tilt schadenfreude frenzy.:zpong:

@CST80, I can give Nery a pass because the Substance he took did come from a meat contaminated with the substance and is also similar to the one Canelo tested positive for, but I do not support Nery because I'm not a fan of his. That said Canelo has to be given the benefit of the doubt like Morales was when he tested positive for the exact same substance prior to fighting Garcia I believe. This is a first for Canelo, but its a substance many athletes from Mexico are testing positive for and if you eat carne asada from there you'd most likely be positive for it as well.
