How would you react if it was Golovkin who had tested dirty? I hope this doesn’t hinder the rematch but Canelo is in the middle of a very bad sh*t storm with this one. I don’t know what to think but it puts a lot of question marks on his career especially if something surfaces that shows he intentionally doped

    Spot on Shadow.

Just like Vargas was given the benefit for the doubt leading up to the Salido fight, so should Canelo. Just like GGG would get if he consumed meat contaminated with clenbuterol.

I'm not sure. I'm not a drug cheat. Ask someone from Canelo's team and they can probably tell you.

I thought banned substance meant it can't be in your system. At all. Maybe the rules don't apply to Canelo?

Whether it was taken on purpose or this meat reason, Canelo is an elite athlete at the very top and is considered the face of the sport. In the end, what he puts in his body is his responsibility.

Yeah I never called Pac a cheater, so you got the wrong guy. You're assuming I called Pac a cheater for some reason. That's inaccurate. We don't know what caused Canelo to test positive, the lab director said it's within range of contaminated meat. That's all we know. Canelo or his team has not indicated that the positive test was due to contaminated meat, that was what the lab director stated.

No grey areas here, you test positive then you're a cheat, what are you not grasping?

Canelo isn't clean is he, just tested positive for a banned substance.

How can you give him benefit of the doubt, he just tested positive, there is no disputing it.

I knew he was dirty. Why would he be eating beef that he knew could be tainted? What a bunch of crap. What does Oscar have to say? This will just get brushed under the rug anyway. Good job Oscar:pipi

    No surprise here.

Us forum "PED conspiracy theorists" are continually proven more right then wrong in general debate on this forum, time and time again, going on a decade now.

    Pretty lame, however.

There is a huge difference from unknowingly consuming food contaminated with a banned substance, and actually using PEDs to get an advantage.

Contaminated meat is an epidemic in mexico, it can easily be accidentally injested by consuming it.

    I don't care, it's 2018 and this isn't new problem is it?

We've heard it all before, no excuses.

It's Canelos responsibility and therefore he tested positive is now a cheat.

In 2013, Mexican boxer Erik Morales was suspended for two years after testing positive for clenbuterol. I for one hope they give him a pass just so the rematch can take place with GGG....however, it’s a black cloud that will hang over his career.

How do you feel about all the heat Manny received based on rumors and unfounded accusations vs something like this, where Canelo has tested dirty? I bring up PAC because I thought you were adamant he was a dirty fight although I could be mistaken?

It would of course depend on the circumstances involved, what he tested positive for, whether it was trace amounts, if it could be attributed to something innocent like eating contaminated meat, etc. To assume that me or any Canelo fan would automatically call for a Golovkin ban if the shoe was on the other foot is absurd.

I don't disagree that Canelo is in the middle of a sh*t storm having to deal with this. It's definitely not a good look, but I agree with you I don't know what to think either.

I don't think we can jump to any conclusions or label Canelo a cheat until we find out more information about what caused this test. I will reserve judgement until I hear more. I find it hard to believe that he would intentionally dope especially something like clembuterol which is known to be a problem in Mexican meat.
