As far as I know, a positive test for trace amounts of clenbuterol can be attributed and explained by consuming contaminated meat, particularly known to be an issue in Mexico. Whereas (as far as I know) other positive tests of other banned substances can not be explained by contaminated meat. And once again, Canelo or his team have not used contaminated meat as an excuse, that information came from the director of the lab and confirmed as an issue from the WBC president.

As far as Morales, he had two separate urine samples a week apart and it doesn't appear to have been trace amounts. The NYSAC knew of this ahead of time and still allowed the bout to go forward.

The question I have for you is this : despite Morales testing positive for clenbuterol, twice in the lead up to the Garcia rematch, do boxing fans typically accuse Morales of being a drug cheat? I personally don't remember seeing fans on this forum hold those positive tests against him, presumably because they attributed the positive tests to Morales eating contaminated meat, a known problem in Mexican meat.

Nope, it's either positive or negative, I don't give a toss where he lives, what he eats or what he does.

The FACT is Canelo tested positive for a banned substance, deny that, go on deny that..

I've already said we all knew about it, it isn't a new problem, therefore no excuses..

So now you answer me, just a simple yes or no..

Did Canelo test positive a banned substance?

Anyone who said the judging would be pro Clenelo was also called that. my favorite was them saying you cannot mention robbery until it actually happens. I guess that now goes for PED's because it has now officially happened.

Are you tired? Long day? Or just digging a deeper hole?

I've said (scroll up) WE ALL KNEW ABOUT MEXICAN MEAT, therefore if we knew then Canelo should know so I do not accept that as an excuse and I don't believe it.

So, did Canelo test positive for a banned substance?

I don't want to hear it. Clenbutetol is injected into their livestock, the day that it isnt, ill label Canelo a drug cheat if he were to test positive for it again.

"As Daniel Eichner, director of [the Sports Medicine Research and Testing Laboratory], the WADA-accredited lab that conducted the tests stated in his letter [on Monday], 'These values are all within the range of what is expected from meat contamination.' -Dan Rafael ESPN

I have no idea what to believe. Canelo has looked super cut, almost too cut in recent fights. Is the lab impervious to corruption? Are WADA truly unbiased or can they be bought?

You would think they would be more careful, but I don't know how a personal cook would test for clenbuterol in the meat you are preparing. And it's unclear how Canelo came into contact with it, how often he eats at home from food cooked by his personal chef. He may have, for example, gone out to a restaurant the day before a random test. It's also unclear if buying premium meat in his local area eliminates the possibility of clenbuterol contamination.
