You seem to be forgetting what happened much more recently when Wladimir Klitschko fought Fury.... you saying Cunningham is a better fighter and harder puncher than Klitschko because he didn't even rattle Fury?
Please note that the Windmill reacted to the Ortiz clinch with a referee-approved judo throw which hurt Ortiz so much he had great trouble rising to his feet. So if the Windmill feels that his windmilling isn't working, then the Windmill will bludgeon you in the back of the head, elbow smash your face, savage you after the bell, or hurl you to the canvass by using Judo. Considering that the Windmill is so strong, those tactics are very hard to counter-especially when the Windmill has a ref backing him up.
Ortiz fought most of the fight by taking away Deontay’s jab and circling away from his right and it worked just fine. Ortiz was actually dancing like Ali he was having so much success. Deontay is a one handed fighter. Take away his right and he has nothing left. That’s all Braddock had to do to frustrate and decision Max Baer, another powerful one handed fighter. Ortiz might have also leaned away to his left when Deontay threw, like Loma did superbly against Rigo (but in reverse because Rigo is a southpaw). Rigo also is a one handed fighter with power. Loma took away his left and all Rigo had left was dirty tricks to fall back on. Of course, you have to have good footwork and stick to the plan to pull this off. It helps to have a good jab.
You talking about that washed up unmotivated version of Vladimir Klitschko. If I were a Fury fan I will be ashamed to bring that disgrace of a championship contest up. That was one of the most boring championship fight I've ever witnessed.
I had him winning every round except the ones he was knocked down in. If he had stuck to the plan he might have got a decision.
One way is to be Ortiz, but younger and with good stamina. The last fight showed (as probably everyone already knew) Wilder can't box but can punch.
If we can find a boxer with all of these attributes I think Wilder can be defeated. •Have the craftiness of a substitute teacher to ring Wilder's bell. •A rocket Launcher for a jab •Trained as a pastry chief so he can take the Bama heat
I think this punch can be the most powerful but it is also the easiest punch to avoid as the power impact points very narrow when compare to the hook or cross. With Wilders long arms, avoid that punch by being inside the full arms length.
