OK, this is the same thing bike rider Alberto Contador was caught on and you guessed it, he also blamed it on the meat, didnt help him though, he got 2 years

My issue is that this is a known problem, why would you even subject yourself to the possibility of this happening?

Athletes as a whole have a higher responsibility to make sure this doesn't happen, having your training camp in Mexico where this is a common problem is stupid.

Nothing will happen to him, he'll now move his camp, be clean and everyone will make their money.

It may explain why at the press tour last week he kept saying how he wanted to move his camp to Colorado. I agree with you that athletes do have a higher responsibility to make sure this doesn't happen, however when you live in a country where the meat is known to produce positive tests, that's easier said than done. The reason he said he didn't move to Colorado's high altitude already is because of the climate there at this time of year, which is still snow season. As someone who grew up in a warm environment, moving into a snow extremely cold environment could also negatively affect his normal training. It makes sense to wait until it warms up enough to move to a place like Colorado and stay in your home city until then.

To be honest, it would make more sense for Canelo to train in Colorado during the summer rather than towards the end of snow season when it's still pretty cold. By April it should warm up though if he wanted to get in a few weeks of training there before the fight.

If you continue defending Oscar when he goes broke I will call it loyalty, for now I will say good work ethic...Although you might turn to be a solid bottom and stick with Oscar till the end

The way human breeding goes, the loyal humans keep getting killed off due to conflicts of interests and increasingly lethal wars that usually end up killing off the most loyal and survival of survivalist peasants, which is the majority of humans today

He wasn't supposed to pop the test?

    What happened?

Here's a question. Why would a multi-millionaire superstar like Canelo choose to eat in an area known for suspect meat (years ago) instead of just, ya know, buying organic meat? Plus wasn't his trainer a former butcher or something?

Is he 365 tested, by the way?

These are good questions. I'd like to know the answer to them as well. It's unclear what his eating schedule is like. It's possible for example, that while he usually eats at home with a professional chef, that maybe he had a family dinner one night or went out to a restaurant and ate something that caused a positive test. Certainly a fair argument to make is that he should have been more careful as to what he ate, but again we just don't know exactly what happened so it's all speculation at this point.

Yep, quite possibly. I have to say though shadow it doesn't look good when you stack the facts up against the possibilities. WBC and WBA have already come out to say they believe he is innocent, so I don't expect anything to change anyways. It does potentially mean a couple of things. Let's say he KO's Golovkin, that - even if he passes every test, assuming you believe that will actually test him more stringently - will always have a slight question mark above it. And if he loses, then the narrative will be that he couldn't win without PED's. Not that I in any way imagine Canelo giving the slightest **** about that sort of thing haha.

Sorry I am just using the EXACT SAME term people here on the forum were using for Povetkins "trace amounts" of meldonium.

Povetkin's test resulst were barely over the limits but North Americans and latino fight fans - spotting their old Soviet cold war enemies - quickly called it "juiced to the gills". Yet when the same standards are applied to American fan favorites they don't like the same logic anymore. "It's trace amounts, how dare you say he's juiced to the gills".
