That's Canelo and his team's problem.

Maybe as a fan you should have warned him of this possibility.

I agree with that, it does seem easily avoidable but then again I don't live there and don't know his daily routine. And even then, it only might take one meal to cause him to test positive. I think we'll learn more about this by watching 24/7. He may have a personal chef, but if I recall, didn't Chepo do some of the cooking for him in the past?

As far as why he didn't move to other warm climates, I'm guessing he might be more comfortable in his home area with his family nearby.

We don't know that he was on anything for the first fight, to be fair. But with his huge gaps in between fights and the way these cycles operate, unless his is on VADA 365, there will always be some suspicion now.

The WBC Prez stated that clembuterol is a public health problem in Mexico.

Well just because some other "people" overreact and exaggerate to one situation doesn't mean that you overreact and exaggerate to another. Two wrongs don't make a right!

And as far as I Know meldonium isn't a public health problem in Russia, or known to be found in meat.

Exactly. Americans demanded Povetkin should be banned for life. Why aren't the same standards used for Canelo? "Let's ban him for life, let's get rid of all these PED abusers once and for all!"

    Oh the double standards!

Is meldonium an identical substance to clenbuterol?

They want to ban a guy for life who broke no rules and got completely shafted but keep turning a blind eye to this bs
Mexico should be banned from all combat sports until they sort this out

I don't know, you tell me. There's only been one other game in Mexico since then right. I posted these articles to show that it's been established for some time that consuming meat in Mexico can cause a positive test for clenbuterol. Sharing this NFL warning to players playing in Mexico was a response to a comment about how the lab director and the WBC Prez comments about clenbuterol / contaminated meat being an issue in Mexico was said to be a "joke" of an excuse, as if this was something just made up to give Canelo an excuse.

The NFL warning goes to show that this has been widely known for some time.
