All things being equal, given the fact that Canelo is an elite athlete with elite resources to go with it, I believe he most likely was on it and just got popped.

The more I read about this and the more I think about it the more it appears to be likely.

And I am one of the reasonable GGG fans. I have conceded that the first fight was close. I have conceded that I scored it 7-5 and it could have been 7-5 the other way.

It just seems given that the tainted meat story is well known and other athletes from other sports have been warned about it, it seems highly, highly unlikely that Canelos team would allow him to eat something with even the smallest risk of being tainted. His meals would be very strictly prepared with only the highest quality of food, not a known risk of tainted meat.

I want you to know that I have the same questions you have about him being a mega million dollar star, and the feeling you have that he should have been more cautious to ingest anything that could be contaminated. That said, it's unclear whether or not being a multi million dollar star, having a personal chef, or even taking precautious as far as getting the highest quality meat in your area completely eliminates the possibility of you ingesting contaminated meat when you live in Mexico.

While Canelo is a multi millionare, he likely still spends time with his family in Mexico who may not be as well off as he is. So yes I have the same questions you have about if he should have been more careful about ingesting questionable meat, so I am looking forward to seeing the results of the NSAC investigation and any statements made by Canelo's team and / or GBP about how this occurred.

As far as the amount being 600 to 800 times higher than what was found on Contador, well that doesn't sound like trace amounts then now does it? It sounds like you're very cynical about the lab director's statements and it being described as trace amounts. I don't have the expertise to evaluate the veracity of his statements. I just want to know as a fan if Canelo is clean or not, and unlike the cynics on here, I don't have any reason to question Bob Bennett's motives and I expect him to do a full and thorough investigation to get to the bottom of this. Hopefully he will conclude that the test was not a result of cheating but rather the consumption of contaminated meat so that the public can be reassured that Canelo is in fact a clean athlete.

I have found you to be very a reasonable GGG fan and I concur that I have the same thought about Canelo's team not allowing him to eat something that could be risky, that you'd think his meals would be very strictly prepared.

However I also think it's important to point out that he hasn't started his final training camp yet, so in February when these tests occurred he wasn't quite yet engaged in as intensive training as he would be over the next two months. So during this time he may not have been as closely monitored as far as his diet than he would be during the next two months of training. We know he was talking about moving his training camp to Colorado for the lead up to the fight.

I think your view and concerns about the situation are perfectly reasonable. Hopefully we will get the answers we need to these questions and conerns over the next several weeks as the investigation runs its course.

One is a required program (WADA) and one is a voluntary program (VADA). If what you were saying was true, then there wouldn't be an investigation being done by the NSAC now would there?

No need for you to get all bent out of shape over it and start with the namecalling. I don't claim to be an expert on how VADA conducts their business, and how similar it is to WADA, but there's obviously fundamental differences in how WADA penalizes athletes from postivies tests vs how VADA positive tests are handled.

Oh shut it you shill. VADA follows WADA protocols, that doesn't mean they have to report to WADA. WADA sets the world standard and all the agencies follow their protocols. You clearly have no ****ing clue what you are spouting because you trying to push this fake news crap to change perceptions. We all know you are full of ****.

Get a hold of yourself. I don't claim to be an expert on VADA but trying to apply WADA's strict liability to VADA boxing testing is obviously a ridiculous attempt at trying to compare Olympic style drug testing to boxing.

You say you don't claim to know **** but you sure as hell are making a ton of claims aren't you? Lmao, you fundamentally don't even understand how the governing body vs anti-doping agency works. smh

Pro tip, stop acting like you know ****.
